Once I did question openly the generation teaching way back in the 80's and was quaintly told that if I didn't agree I should go ahead and start my own religion because that was the current light the gen of 1914 would not pass away. I swear that was probably the best advice I ever got from a dub . I eventually gave up on religion all together .

Do I have this right?
by allyouneedislove indo i have this right?.
jw are to be completely obedient to the fds.
they are not to question, speak against the teachings of, or disobey the fds.. however, the fds's teachings change and many past teachings are now seen as incorrect.. still, though, jws are to completely and unquestionably obey all teachings of the fds, no matter if they personally believe such are wrong or if they carry severe consequenses.. .

I remember just after that story broke I went to the KH after not going for years to the tuesday book study and the first thing out of the presiding elders mouth when he saw me was , we're not answering any questions about the UN then he went on and demonized the WTBTS web site as apostate but someone mentioned to him what he did then he said it was a mistake on his part .LOL . There is no way for them to save face on the issue and quoting Romans 13 isn't going to work with me , I know they have been saying the world ended invisibly for a long time .

That's insane if they are trying to cover over Rutherfords, million now living, with an over lapping generation . He saw that the dubs weren't participating at the memorial and concluded that he identified the GC of which today most are dead , now correct me if I'm wrong here but the GC is promised they never die or know death .

STD's and Baptism
by NewChapter inokay, so this came up on another thread, and now i really want to know the answer.. about 10 years ago, and elder told me they now ask baptismal candidates if they have an std.
maybe they ask about other communicable diseases too, but he focused on std's.
he had no reason to mention this, so i just took it as true.

If they are that worried about it then maybe they should put on a scuba wet suit ? Well I get the worried about aids thing since I will not let anyone in my house that has it . I haven't heard anything about herpes being transmitted without sex involved . I remember whenever the swine flu was going around they would be walking around with hand sanitizer in the KH.

I'm surprised they haven't used the thoughts on this board that noah had 120 yrs. so if you use 1914 the generation is over in 2034.

There are no basements in texas , I already told you there's no shelters anywhere and the homes are not equipped for it . I just sit here and sweat it out until it's over .

yep it's true , one of the baptismal questions is that . I don't remember any warnings from jesus about getting disease in the baptismal pool . I'm surprised they haven't moved toward a dunking booth . LOL
