Interesting...you should forward the Sparlock info to Nick. Wouldn't that be awesome if they sued the WTS

my father in law had his surgery and had some complications but is being released from the hospital today.. we all appreciate the well wishes!
thanks again!.
I am well wishing away ;-) Hope he continues to improve!
apologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.
some people were passing the info along like a secret, others seemed to think that everyone already knew.. if everyone in j-dub land is already talking about this, how is it not all over this forum??.
anyway, can anyone confirm or deny?.
@ Simon, you are probably right, I'm sure they don't have to pay full price for a set up day...I was just speculating. This rumor is probably not true, otherwise it wouldn't have fizzled out. I think people in the know would have come out of the woodwork to confirm. It's up there with the no more CO rumor and lower Pioneer Hour rumor. I do think this is something that is probably in their long term buisness plan. Just makes sense to ax fridays.
@ Obarac...the person that started this thread said he heard this from different sources. You say "This is not true"...while I agree it's probably not true or not true yet, why do you say so? Just curious. Do you have a Friday DC Talk outline in your hand? ;-)
i came across a mormon "sisters" blog...reading through some of her missionary experiences, it sounded so much like jw pioneer "sis" relating hers.
just swap out some of the cult-language words and it's suddenly a jw experience of sharing "bible truths" with some poor worldly sap.. here's an taste of it:.

Here's an taste of it:
1) We were also led by the Spirit this week to a former investigator's home. Her name is Aimee. We had penciled her in as a back up for Tuesday morning but since our appointment with a less active went through we didn't end up checking on Aimee. That afternoon we had planned to work in Schenectady but Sister Stacey just wasn't feeling it. She was like, "I really feel like we should stay in Glenville. We've worked Schenectady the past few days." So we said a prayer and told Heavenly Father we are not going to Schenectady but we're going to work in Glenville and to help us readjust our plans to be led to someone in need of our message." We decided to check on a less active and on our drive there, we came across construction that caused us to have to take a detour. We took the detour and we led right down Aimee's street. I said, "Let's stop at Aimee's and maybe she'll be home and we'll be able to meet her." We got out of the car, knocked on Aimee's door and she came. At first she was confused because she knew the other two sisters well. We introduced ourselves and she let us in. Over eight times she said, "I was just having one of those really sad afternoons, and then I heard a knock and it was you." She even called her husband at work and said, "You know how I was having a sad day? The sisters just showed up and we've been talking and I feel a lot better." Cool huh!?
2) One couple, Ryan and Angie live here in the Burg. They have two sons, a 4 year old and a 14 month old. They were raised Catholic and still attend church when they can. They brought up that they were getting their baby baptized into the Catholic church on the 29th. We talked about baptism and asked them why their son needs to be baptized. They didn't really know, but just that it's a tradition. It was neat to teach them a little about the significance of being baptized, the promises made, and the priesthood authority. We didn't get into it too in depth. I wanted to pull out Moroni 8 about children being born without sin, but it probably would've been too much. They are like spiritual babies right now! ha ha And so precious and golden to us so we didn't want to give them more than they can handle. I know the Mom felt that what we were saying was true. She started talking about having to pay for his little baptism too. Sad huh? I held back my feelings of how ridiculous that is. Ha ha. We told her no one is paid in the church we are members of and she loved that. After all of that small talk we started with a hymn and prayer and taught them the message of the restoration. I love teaching people these truths for the first time. How lucky we are as missionaries to testify to people that God has called a prophet again and restored his priesthood power to bind their family together forever! The spirit was very strong. We're meeting with them again this week. We committed them to read 3 Nephi 17 when the Savior blesses the children. We were able to testify of God's love for their children and how He wants them to live with him again as an eternal family.apologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.

Interesting...I emailed two stadiums. This is the response I got from Qualcomm in (stay classy) San Diego:
They have placed a hold on the Weekend of May 24-26 th .
(deleted individuals name)
Event Coordinator, Qualcomm Stadium
9449 Friars Road
San Diego CA 92108
619-641-3107 ph
619-283-0460 fx
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also emailed another stadium and there response was this:
These dates are tentative – First 3 Friday through Sunday dates in July. They will not be confirmed until next year.
hard to say at this point...maybe they had the idea too late, so they are going to do another round of 3-day'ers. Or make a change to all these reservations which are tentative. Orrrrr, maybe the friday is reserved for set-up. hmmm. Just thought of that. They do need a full day to set up stage, sound, etc. They have to train the brothers to properly hold the "please return to your seats" signs.
I would think if they were going to have a 3 day DC they would need to book the thursday too (for set up)
Speculate away.............
...and i will destroy you and your family if you do not join an obscure religion formed in the 19th century by a weirdo with a goofy looking beard.. .
ahhhhhuhghgggggahhhhhh!!!.
sorry, just blowing off a little steam.
all my compaining was for naught... ;-) My kid got sick last night...so I enthusiastically volunteered to stay home while my wife represents at the KH. Her brother was happy she made it, I am happy (well, not that my kid is sick) that I got to stay home. And as a bonus I took a personal day @ at work to stay home tomorrow!
I actually am plugged in to RedZone, and drinking a coffee...and most importantly not listening to a tired old talk about Noahs Arc.
i am new to the forum, but i have been lurking in the shadows for a couple of months.
i found this site because my mom accidentally bookmarked it on my computer.
my mom doesn't realise that i know she has been posting.
Welcome Danno!
I am jealouse...two things I love: Hawaii and flying airplanes! Good Luck!

Sorry, just blowing off a little steam. My wife is giving me a big guilt trip (cause she's getting one from her bro) about making sure we're at meeting tomorrow. IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF NFL FOOTBALL...ahhhh. I had visions of siting in my robe and watching RedZone all day. Dammit!

We should know for sure, maybe by Oct for the annual meeting....or at the latest, when dubs study the KM part on the upcoming DC, in Jan. I think.
