Why don’t couples have to remarry when becoming JWs?
by enigma1863 inyou have to get baptized even if you were baptized in several other religions so why don’t they require you to remarry your spouse, especially if you were married as a mormon or muslim and had multiple wives.
some countries legally allow polygamy so you couldn’t necessarily just go by the laws of the country right?
these problems probably never come up though because i bet not many flds or muslims become jws.

All the Witnesses care about is that it is a legal marriage (you have a marriage license registered with the city/county etc) It doesn't matter what priest / rabbi / shaman / imam married you, or what religion it was...as long as it's a legal marriage.
** not sure what they'd do regarding your other ?s.ex: If it's a guy who had multiple wifes etc...in that case you'd probably have to pick a favorite wife, and re do the marriage legally in that specific country.

Since We Are In 2020 What Do You Miss?
by minimus ini miss listening and dancing to live music on a weekend night.. i miss going into a crowded mall store to window shop.. i miss going out into public and not having to wear a mask.. i miss seeing people freely mingle on a busy street or sidewalk.. what a difference a year makes!.

Rubadub...I like your way of life.
Traveling and seeing new things/culture and meeting kind people from all over the world is my favorite thing to do. I missed a trip to Morocco, and now can't really plan anything other that dream, and create wish-itineraries.

My wife and I get a kick out of looking at all the instagram pictures of JWs from around the world "at" the convention...with their badges on. Many are making it even more fun by delivering danishes, and frozen OJ to their friends. We saw a few of these pics...actually a funny idea. Those were the days back in the 80s when it WAS the TRUTH (tm) lol, muff-n-egg, danish, frozen OJ.

If you're on instagram and still have witnoid 'friends', the instagram posts will make you feel like you're taking crazy pills. Sitting around all dressed up on the couch, full make-up, hair gel, badges on, commenting what a "historic" convention this is. My god, their ability to spin anything, smh....you will need to hit your head against the wall a few times. It's like a train wreck though, you can't look away from the madness.
Even when I was a full on dubbed MS, I would have watched in my shorts, and probably fast forwarded a bit.
