I did it !!!!
by snare&racket in7 years ago i started on a path i had long ago given up on as impossible.
i met with my elders and told them i could not justify carrying on as a jw.
i went and got my high school qualifications and my higher education diploma (a levels with distinction) in just 12 months.

It won't be long now before you get an official letter from Bethel asking if you would like to be a part of the Bethel Family, providing needed medical care to the ones in the infirmary. In return you will get 3 meals a day and a little bedroom to share with 3 other brothers.

Amusing line in April 2014 KM

seat saving: when the doors to the facility are opened each morning, please to not rush to the seating area of your preference as if competing with fellow attenders.
a self-sacrificing spirit that moves us to seek the good of others identifies us as true christians and moves onlookers to praise god.. ................................................................ i personally don't recall them previously making reference to the jw-version of the "running of the bulls" that takes place every morning when the doors open at 8:00 a.m. have seen it myself many times, it's always good for a laugh.

My ex loved that statement. It meant we did not have to sit by my family since we did not ride together. It was so stupid. I really could have used the help of my parents and siblings since I had two small babies. But, I guess Jesus and Jehovah wanted me to sit by myself (My ex was too important to sit in his seat during the sessions)

the family has full intentions of pursuing a civil litigation against norris and the watchtower society that harbors pedophiles..

On the Silentlambs website it states that the victim was actually Norris' granddaughter. I cannot seem to find that anywhere else. Does anyone know?

Special Assembly Day - tepid applause
by sir82 injust got back from a recent sad.. after most talks, the applause was, at most, tepid.. it was striking in its tepidity, if that is possible (and if that is a word).. affter most talks, applause lasted literally no more than 5 seconds.
its volume was scarcely above a whisper.. it wasn't acoustics - the bethel speaker was technically a polished speaker (although presenting the same old boring info), and his talks generated noticeably louder applause.
but even still - that applause was maybe 10 seconds, and about normal-conversation level.. but local speakers - the applause was not much more loud than the hum coming from your refrigerator.. there were 1300+ people there.. it was just so weird - my previous large-group experience was at the agm, where people were nearly apoplectic & drooling with delight over their new "silver bibles" (which very few have read, i'd wager).. these guys were just "zombified".. speaking of bibles - bethel dude called it a "platinum bible".

Reminds me a little of watching my Broncos play in the superbowl - nothing to get excited about - just wishing for whiskey to kill the pain of it all. The man cave remained still and silent except for the occasional moan of despair and the desire for it all to end so we could do something else and forget it ever happened.
