Not willing to meet with Elders? DF?
by thedepressedsoul inif a person says that they are not willing to meet with the elders or does not meet with them, will that get them df'ed?
there is a rumor about a person who has left the truth (went inactive) about being imoral.
they do not have the 2 person witness so they can't take actions because of this.

I refused to show up. They kept setting up committee meetings and leaving me phone messages where and when to show up, and I absolutely did not show up. They sent me registered letters that I would never sign for. I heard it was turned over to three different committees over an eighteen month period. The last committee was made up of a young group of elders, one being someone that my husband and I had met in the door 2 door work and studied with. The 3rd committee decided to DF me in my absense. They sent me a registered letter to notify me of the decision (that I did not sign for). Eventually they notified some elders in a hall in another town that knew my father in still another town. They called him and asked him to notify me that I was DF'ed. Message received. It was very anti climatic - my father called me while I was sitting in traffic on my way to work on a Monday morning. He gave me the news and then we talked about his pet chckens and the weather.
I did not care what their decision was. But I did know that there was no way in hell I would EVER go sit before three men and talk my vagina. I was a dignified 40 something woman. NO REGRETS!

Pixar the production company is jealous of Caleb and Sophia video's
by life is to short inso said the co last night.. apparently a jw was on a flight and just happend to sit next to some big wig from pixar and when the man from pixar heard that he was a jw the pixar man just gushed over what great work that the watchtower has done in producing the caleb video's.
he siad he only wished pixar could do such great work.
the co said we are able to do it because we have free labor and jehovah behind us.. my husband stayed home from the meeting but wanted to tie in by phone and that is what the co said in his talk.. the co also talked about all the changes that have happened in the last ten years and how if some of the friends did not like it they needed and to quote him "they just needed to get over it" these changes are going to happned period.

I was watching an episode of 'True Detective' last night. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey were at some religious meeting. Their comversation reminded me of what most would say if they attended the KH......

Mcconaughey......Just observation and deduction. I see a propensity for obesity. Poverty. A yen for fairy tales. Folks putting what few bucks theyt have into a little wicker basket being passed around. I think it is safe to say nobody here's going to be splitting the atom.

My frist email letter from my JW Dad. So sad...
by suavojr ini am in my early 30s and woke up to ttatt in late 2012. my dad just turned 65 in june!
wow, i never saw that being possible.. .
he just got himself a computer and was able to get internet in a remote location where he is serving as an elder with my mom (where the need is great) i was happy to see how he was able to send me a few notes saying hi and i was able to share some pictures of my wife and family, etc.. .

I feel so sorry for the majority of JW women. How could they ever feel confident? They are the property of their controlling and crazed parents for the first 18 years, only to be handed over to a JW man that was most likely brought up to beleive he is superior to anyone with a vagina. He then controls her speech, entertainment, meeting attendance, door to door activity, chair she sits in at the KH, how often she talks to her mother and of course what flower material is appropriate for her mid calf skirt. She succumbs twice a week to the missionary position marital due for 3 minutes on Thursday night and Sunday night and smiles so sweetly when he tells her how proud he is of his "modest" wife. He allows her to do a couple of cleaning jobs a week to help him out with finances so he can concentrate on that very important Bible hightlights talk.
Yes, I imagine a confident woman is extremely sexy after witnessing these destiny controlled plastic dolls.
