This shooting is so tragic for everyone, especially us here in Colorado. My daughter and nephew saw the midnight showing of this movie within a very short distance of this shooting. I am overwhelmed with grief for the parents of these kids and at the same time feeling such joy that my children, nephew and their friends escaped such a tragedy.
Please let us give this thread the respect that it has not been given thus far.

Some of the victims are at Swedish Hospital where my brother is a doctor. Here is the email he just sent me........... We have been working closely with our partner hospital The Medical Center of Aurora, University of Colorado, Children’s Hospital, Parker and Denver Health throughout the morning to care for the 50 injured who have been spread across hospitals in the Denver Metro Area. Thank you to all of you who responded this morning to lend a hand in this horrible hour, 3 operating room and 2 PACU nurses were sent to TMCA to offer support. Here at SMC we have had 4 victims: immediately following the shooting we received 3 patients with gunshot wounds. 19-year-old male currently fair, 20-year-old male currently critical, 29-year-old female currently critical. A few hours after the event we had a fourth victim, a 19-year-old female with injuries from shrapnel; she has been treated and released. There are several family members and friends of these individuals in our Emergency Department as well as the Main OR waiting room – please show the upmost care to this delicate situation.

Such a sad day here in Colorado. My nephew was at a midnight showing of this movie less than a mile away from the shooting. My daughter was at a midnight showing 15 miles away. This easily could have been them. This is such a good reminder that our lives are so fragile.
the scene is familiar.. a jehovah's witness family with one member who has awakened from the lie.. the split comes down to an interesting wrong terminology:.
unbelieving mate vs believing mate.. .
the context of the entire family is as a jehovah's witness family.. damage has already been done.

When I woke up and started questioning my husband on things, he pulled the headship card. He was cruel and callous. I asked that he please show some love and his response was one that woke me up for good. He said "You want me to show love, that is what the apostates are always wanting." i just thought you should know that mrs cedars has finally taken the plunge and joined the forum.
she was able to log on for the first time yesterday.. though we both "awakened" at different stages, mrs cedars was very supportive and non-judgmental when i first began exploring my beliefs from a critical standpoint.

I agree with 00DAD - I would love to know what kind of education these men have had. Since a lot of them started the full time service in their mid teens, it makes one wonder if they finished high school.

I love running backs. I went to a number of OK Sooner games these last few years and Adrien Peterson is the man!!! Keep an eye on him - he is now with the Vikings.
