My 2016 RC Experience

Off subject......
I remember a "special needs" talk shortly before I left the org on sisters not cutting their hair short. It was quite strong. Any sisters that did not have some length to their hair would lose privileges.

by tim hooper indoes anyone else recall the big chart that hung at the front of every kingdom hall?.
it would be about 5 feet x 4 feet.
on the side of the chart, vertically listed, were the months of the year.

When I was 5 years old I was interviewed at a circuit assembly with my family about what I liked the best about being a JW. My scripted response was......"The ice cream at the 'semmblies"
Now they don't even have ice cream anymore.

Are You Raising An Introvert?

it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

I'm getting baptized
by BlackWolf ini know i've started similar topics before but this time i'm serious.
my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.
i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.

Blackwolf, My heart aches for what you must be going through. It sounds like you want to "Play along to get along" which is a wonderful trait, unless of course it infringes on your rights. Please remember this ..... Whatever you do for these people, IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH! After baptism you will have another hurdle to jump through and it most likely will be to become an aux pioneer and then a regular pioneer. You will then need to marry the first eligible spiritual man available regardless of what his other traits are, and then Blackwolf, this is where the fun really begins. If you marry a truly "spiritual" man then you are in for a lifetime of misery. You will keep your head down, your mouth shut, have dinner waiting and look real pretty for every meeting. Door knocking, guilt, low self confidence, meetings, meetings, meetings and crappy one minute missionary sex are some of the things you can look forward to. You will never please JW's because it never is enough..... It all starts with baptism. -

by purrpurr ini've been confronting my mother with her dubious parenting skills (abuse) of me as a child.
particularly the beatings i would get with the wooden spoon.
not a light smack but hitting me as hard as she could for as long as she could.
