in my spiritual journey, which includes trying to decide if i still believe in god anymore or not i am beginning to question if god listened to my prayers or even answered them.

i think i had a track record of praying more when i needed something.

terrible i know.

Verily I say that He does hear prayer but I ask why did not the screams of 900 school children in China get answered. Oh LORD do we deserve that???

this has been repeated over and over in the news but what the hell no one will do anything about these assholes...so one more time....its the speculators, the investors who ....."institutional investors such as hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds are pouring billions of dollars into not just oil but mamy commodities, distorting markets and driving prices to unprecedented levels.."...and chinese influence???

while that is a factor, it's only part of the story, said mr. masters, a portfolio manager for masters capital management llc.

he cited u. s. government data showing that while annual chinese demand for petroleum increased 920 million barrels over the past five years, demand from speculators has moved up 848 million barrels over the same period.

Sooner or later the oil reserves will run dry. Mathematics dictates an absolute maximum price for a barrel of crude, say, $5000/brrl. At that point no one except the filthy rich will be able to buy it, so the oil market drys up and people are turned into soylent green

yes they did but it costs more to make that kind of fuel than it does to get fuel from the tar sands.

Hek, if you want to, you can make methanol from carbon dioxide gas but the cost is too high right now.

Most oil producing countries are well past their peak. The US had peak oil in 1970. There is NOTHING at present that can replace the huge amount of energy that crude has supplied to mankind. The reckoning is now

Whet do you think will happen when US attacks iran? Everday you can see both sides preparing for a war that could be of greater magnitude than WW! and WW2 combined. WE are in the end times as predicted by the bible. The good book says that no flesh will survive unless god steps in. That sounds a bit dubbish I know but it could very well turn out that way.
