the wbts uses some of the most abusive and controlling tactics of all religious groups in keeping control of its membership.

individual members are expected to exhibit total, unquestioning obedience and loyalty to the directives of the governing body.

any expression of disagreement with any small point of doctrinal teaching or policy of the leadership may be grounds for disfellowshipment.

I don't think the WTS policy on shunning is biblical no matter what the reason a person is df'd.

i really love xmas eve.

{can't say xmas day is something i look forward to at all.

whyamihere...Growing up in Chicago I also am a Bear fan. I bet the tree looked great but the only way it could have been the best tree ever is if you took off the Cub decorations and put on White Sox decorations!

Dear friend to be DF'd this week ,advice please!

a dear friend of mine is to be d'f'd this week,coz she re-married a non-jw.

she divorced her arrogant bullying (min serv and reg pio.

) husband a couple of years ago.. she moved from our congo's area at the time ,and i don't think she has associated with another congo.. she also lost her dear mum recently,the funeral is on monday.

Give your friend lots of support...I'm sure most the JW's will already shun her because JW's just love gossip and i'm sure if her ex knows she's getting df'd he has probably told the best of the gossiping JW's in that cong to be sure it was spread to every member!

Is it me or are alot of women starting to leave their husbands in the TWOOF

i live in so cal and got to tell you women are leaving in droves out here...is it a caly thing or are simply women bored out of their minds listening to their mate and his friends presentations week in and week out?

I can believe that oompa...every guy here knows that female tourists will do things away from home that they would'nt normally do. Its why I don't hangout at the beach bars much...trying to stay out of trouble!

"We Are No Longer Minutes Aways From The New System ---We Are Seconds"

that's the latest being circulated from our dear witness friends and relatives.

Is'nt making statements like that in a way predicting the end? I remember they would say "We are in the last days" then it was "We are in the last hours" and now its "We are in the last seconds". They are giving the r&f the impression that they know something about when the end will be here and giving them a countdown. I wonder how many r&f talk amongst themselves about how the GB must know when the actual time when the end will begin...and thats why they tell us were in the last seconds?
