Awww...I hope you have a wonderful Christmas honey! Its so much fun to watch your friends and family open gifts. I get so much pleasure out of doing that. And yes I do get my kids things all year, but Christmas morning is very special to me.

    Im a big kid :)

Great news! It does feel wonderful to celebrate without a huge guilt-trip breathing down your neck.

    Isn't it a great feeling ? !

Our first year of fading we were in a store buying toys for our nieces and nephew and one of our former JW friends spotted us .(Her husband works in the same company as my husband ) The next day one of the guys my husband works with told him the JW worker had said "Well when a witness leaves the religion they return to their own vomit " (referring to buying xmas toys ) I guess the worker gave the JW a stern talking to , and told him if showing a little love by giving kids toys is wrong than YOU are the one with the problem .

Each year we are getting better at buying gifts and sharing good tidings with others ,and it is a good thing .

Enjoy the freedom of giving gifts. That may fade in time as the allure of bestowing "stuff" feels contrived, commercialized and hollow. It happened that way with me. I can really do without the stuff, and I take delight in all the gatherings, visiting and carolling through the holidays.
