  i am so very excited about this!

  i hope the shoot goes well and that we get some great pictures!

  What's the Deal with Bethel?

  i'm not a jw, never have been.. my friend described bethel as a place where one can be trained up in a trade and help with the printing of wts literature.

  he described it as a self sufficient home where many witnesses aspire to go because you're only arpund other followers and it doses you up good on spirituality.

  but then i read about it online and apparently there's bells ringing and quick meals and it's really hard work and it sounded somewhat like an institution?!?!

  As a Bethelite, I never had trouble accessing a library. They were everywhere. Most had publications back to the 1800's.

  I think I just broke the tele-market man

  well, today is one of those procrastinatey days, i'm at home alone with the cat who is dazzling me with her new tricks.

  so i got pretty excited when the tele-marketer man called to discuss a new and fantastic mobile phone deal.

  i managed to keep him on the phone for 32 minutes as i explained to him that i could only use a blue telephone due to a specific type of colour blindness that i have....which i do not have.... turns out they just don't make blue phones.

  this sucks

  last night at work (i work as a mananger for a fast food reasturant).

  one of my employees came through the drive through.

  he told me he had taken a drug test for a job at a warehouse where one of the brothers from my old kh was the hiring boss.

  Lap Band Surgery

  about 10 years ago i was diagnosed as diabetic.. i was about 70 lbs overweight and tried to lose weight, but could not really control my eating, and i neglected exercise too.

  over the 10 years, i did manage to lose about 15 lbs.. on may 12, this year, after researching bariatric surgery, i decided to have a 'lap band' installed.

  i went to a hospital in juarez, mexico, and i have enjoyed some good results so far.. i have lost over 20 lbs in the past two months, and my blood sugar has dropped over 50 points.

  We All Have Our Stories - We Are All Survivors in Our Own Ways

  in attending the apostafest this weekend in south lake tahoe it became apparent to me that we all held a common bond in getting out of the jehovah's witnesses cult ; and yet many of us made our escape to freedom in different ways !

  some people stopped going to meetings cold turkey, like myself, something just clicks in you after the buildup over years of tension and abuse of justice - just couldn't take it anymore !

  other people do a slow gradual fade , some get dfed, or dissassociate, some even get their families out with them, some are the only members of their family who have exited the cult.

  A relationship has been a great help to me. I was a "good" JW and really had no "worldy" associates! I had no one that I knew that was not a JW.

  Fortunately, the internet has helped us reach out to people. When my wife and I had seperated I had a friend I met online that let me stay at his home while I got back on my feet. I left her with everything.

  I have found a new family and a great new circle of friends.

  I have a new life and I'm a survivor!

  Wow, and to think we just adopted out our cats this weekend. Had I known how satanic they were....I would have kept them!!

  WTF?!?! I have never heard such utter nonsense in all my life!
