During the meeting that included her mother and stepfather, the lawsuit states, church leaders played a recording of one of the purported rapes, obtained from the instructor, for four to five hours "repeatedly stopping and starting the audio tape ... suggesting that she consented to the sexual behavior."

I finally found something that Fisherman said that I can agree with. He states " ...I choose what is moral for myself." I think that it is important , that we all be afforded that opportunity . It is important to note that we are not entitled to impose our moral compasses on others. Surely you would have to agree Fisherman, Now Fishermen since we have come to some common ground, I would love to hear your Bethel experiences. I am sure that they would be enlightening, Remembering a time in your life , that you consider wonderful , will surely improve your outlook.

I totally agree with your last post Morpheus he was attempting to invalidate your credibility. Fisherman did not have the courage to do so in the light of day. I can almost guarantee he would have cherry picked the few questions that you where unable to answer as evidence to demonstrate your supposed lack of honesty. What is even more revealing is his feeling entitled to the interrogation of you away from the public eye, so that his conclusions could not be challenged. Does this not remind you of the elders, who feel entitled to stalk supposed adulterers by spying on their living arrangements, even though stalking is illegal?

I also feel that far from blocking him from our discussion we should let him carry on. His posts reveal the mentality of the witnesses. Witnesses prefer to cloak their actions in secrecy ie back room, secret elder manuals, letters that only elders are privy to, the inner workings of the governing body, the child sex abuse scandal. etc.

Well I gave you a chance to prove your point Fishermen. I would have concluded that perhaps Morpheus erred when he posted your pm, if you would have provided a sound argument as to why he should not have. For example ; if you sincerely thought that your Identity could have been compromised by posting one of the questions, or had entered into an agreement with Morpheus not share his email from you. Furthermore, you avoided disclosing your intent , when you sent the mail to him . I can only conclude from this that you sent it with nefarious intentions. There are several scenarios that come to mind , however with out proof, I will not discuss them here.

Band Green Day and JWs

a few years ago i heard of a story about two jw's being at a green day concert.

i think that the witnesses were bethelites.

the person that told me that story said that the band was about to play but they couldn't.

Steve this one is urban legend is particularly amusing to me. You see in the United states it was widely reported that Glen Campbell was a Jehovah's Witness. I remember this well, because my mother was a big fan of his music. As a matter of fact , This was such a prevalent rumor that James Penton referenced it on page 367 of his book Apocalypse Delayed: The Story of Jehovah's Witnesses.

"For example, it was long claimed inaccurately that American singing star Glen Campbell was a Witness, and some went so far as too state that they had seen him at district conventions."

Jehovah's Witnesses can't even come to a consensus as to whom to embrace versus whom to vilify.
