What Makes a Person Vulnerable to Join a Cult ? By Steve Hassan
by flipper inmost of us often wonder with amazement how we ever got caught up in the jehovah's witnesses mind control after having been out for awhile.
and we still wonder how some of our relatives stay trapped inside it.
well, steve hassans book " releasing the bonds " explains briefly in chapter 4 how it can happen.

I had a bible study with at a woman's home that was ROACH INFESTED!!!!!!! It was hard to concentrate while I was watching each roach, hoping none of them would hitch a ride and come home with me. The following week she cleaned the house with FULL STRENGTH BLEACH. So now my eyes and nose are burning. That study was certainly less than an hour. I told her to rinse with water because the bleach is hazardous!!!

When I looked up Luke17:21 about the kingdom being "in your midst" in the kingdom interlinear bible, I was troubled. The word for word translation says "inside of you". It seemed like the verse was forced to fit the WBTS teachings. But there must be a good explanation for this right?
Of course I pushed the doubt out of my mind but it was only a matter of time before the scales fell off my eyes.

Is Being A Snitch A Popular Activity In The Kingdub?
by Yizuman inhow often do dubs hear someone snitch about a wrong doing from a brother or sister?.
how often do you hear of a snitch going to the elders to stir up a lynch mentality against a brother or sister?.
is there some points being earned for all this or do they think jehovah will reward them for being a snitch?.

TOTH, it's interesting you mentioned the idolatry involved in passing the emblems. A few years ago, a visitor at the hall mentioned the idolatry involved with that practice in her watchtoer comment. Needless to say, they didn't pass the mic to her anymore. But that got me thinking, "If we don't partake of the emblems, why do we have to pass them?"
