i am so laughing my head off and want to thank jwd for giving me the strength to leave the jws and for standing up to them (i am a quiet mouse usually!).

the jws next door had the field service meeting and i told hubby(inactive ) that they'd gone so he could cut the grass, but i was wrong and as soon as he went out they all piled out of the house lol!they tried to say hello but he shunned them as he hates the way they ignore me (d'ad) esp his family.

then while he was talking to our other neighbour i saw his step father (who is a big bully and called me a murderer when i said i wasnt sure if i wanted to be a jw anymoreand my kids would be killed because of me which really hurt me) so he arranged to work our road i know just so he can get hold of hubby.. anyway hubby was hiding in the house and tried to make me see them (again) but i made him do it, hoping he'd just tell them hes not interested.

Also you can use their own letters to Bodies of Elders by mentioning your sign and amending it to read NO TRESSPASSING, ESPECIALLY NO UNINVITED RELIGIOUS VISITORS.

Once you have the NO TRESSPASSING sign up the decision of the elder to visit will involve a lot more than a personal choice, momma Watchtower, has written Bodies of Elders saying that any JW who willingly TRESPASSES onto property that is so posted will be on their own, they may incur fines and jail time, and there'll be no Brooklyn legal Dept support for such cases.

If he insists on staying, record the conversation with a videocam or a digital voice recorder (a lot of MP3 players can record too).

Write a letter to the KH as suggested and send a copy to the PO and to Brooklyn, requesting to be put on a permanent DO NOT CALL LIST.

Keep threatening legal action and put a restraining order against any JW that dares give you a strange/evil look.

i think the witnesses would react just like us jwders have reacted with simon's announcement.. they would cuss and discuss and speculate, then many would splinter off quickly in a hurried effort to join another group and choose a name like "watchtower lite" or "jw ii" or "the new and improved jws" where they would debate the whys and wherefores of the wts and what went wrong.

there would be weeks of discussion about the various leaders of the old organization where some would openly criticize and condemn their leadership and motives.

some would join the group where their trusted elders went.

The only scenario that I would even consider about their closing down the WT society would be something like the shake up the WT's quirky twin that is Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God went through when the leadership just couldn't keep the charade going on any further.

But really... There is another option... without the central HQ at WT printing mags and study books, i.e. without Mom, the now independent congregations would look to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for guidance. In other words the Service Department just got rid of the Writing Department and the Printeries for good. They'd bring back the CO and DO and keep on having assemblies and conventions.

HERE'S A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE 144,000 DOCTRINE......

just when you think you've heard it all............in my research for my project, i was doing some digging around on the subject of the 144,000 and came across something in the wts's literature that absolutely stunned me and, being the generous soul that i am , wanted to pass it on to you to get your thoughts on this.. .

we all know that the society teaches that the 144,000 mentioned in revelation is speaking of "spiritual israel" and not 'fleshly israel' or even other christians in general right?

there are countless quotes throughout the literature that we are all familiar with that specifically state this, but to drive home a point, here are a few:.

conference call Saturday August 2 RUMBLINGS AT GILEAD!

a reliable source has informed us that the registrar of gilead was removed....laid off.

is the watchtower school of gilead, where they train their missionaries, in the process of downsizing or perhaps dismantling.

There doesn't seem to be much info on the Gilead Registrar issue.

Has there been any more info on this during the week since the conference?

Will Gilead close or is it just a matter of getting rid of the Registrar as they did with Ed Dunlap when they got him out?
