Forbidding polygamy, according to the bible only elders and ministerial servants should have one wife. For the others it is optional.

Is the resurrection heavenly or earthly?
by jwfacts ini was looking for scriptures that discuss the heavenly resurrection, and did a google search on "heavenly resurrection".
to my surprise almost all links were discussing the beliefs of jehovah's witnesses.
apparently christians simply discuss the resurrection, specify it as a "heavenly resurrection" is very much watchtower terminology.

1Corinthians 15:50-52 tells even about that opportunity, that some will be transformed.
"in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye" those will be transformed from being humans, to be angels.

There will be a resurection both to earth and to heaven. In John 5:28 Jesus speaks about an earthy resurrection. JW say the heavenly resurection already started 1919 or little later. But that does not harmonize with Revelation 14:8,13, wich says that, first falls Babylon, and after that the ressurection begins. JW explain this by saying that Babylon did fall already once, and will fall once again. But in this chapter it is only once said that Babylon falls, and that chapter ends will God's final jugement to this world.

Polygamy only not for elders and ministerial servants
by Kosonen indo the bible allow to have several wives?.
in 1 corinthians 7:39 it is written that a unmarried woman can get married, to whom she wants in the lord.
so, if a christian have already one wife, he can take one other if a christian sister wants to get married to him.. how could sisters otherwise, who are often in majority in the congregations follow pauls recommendation in 1corinthians 7:1 to get married.

Do the Bible allow to have several wives?
In 1 Corinthians 7:39 it is written that a unmarried woman can get married, to whom she wants in the Lord. So, if a christian have already one wife, he can take one other if a christian sister wants to get married to him.
How could sisters otherwise, who are often in majority in the congregations follow Pauls recommendation in 1Corinthians 7:1 to get married. Paul recommends marriage as a way to avoid fornication.
What difference is there between a husband and a wife, concerning divorce?
Paul makes a difference between wife and husband, concerning divorce. The wife could actually depart, but for the the husband it is different, he should not.(1Corinthians7:10,11)
What did Jesus say about this? In Matthew 19:9 he says a man should not divorce his wife and remarry. Only in the case when she has commited fornication, he could leave her and remarry.
But what if he do not divorce his wife, but just takes un other more?
Or what if somebody already have 2 wives, when he bacomes a christian? Have we any direct command in God's word? The only thing I have found is in Corinthians 7:20,24. That he should stay in the same condition, in wich he was when he became christian. Also we have something more in 1 Timothy 3:2,12 and Titus 1:6. These 3 verses say, that only the elders and the ministerial servants are recuired, to have only one wife.
So, if a sister would like to get married in the Lord, she could do that to whom she wants, only in the Lord, even if the brother have already a wife. But of coures he can not serve then as an elder or ministerial servant. But better may be for here to stay unmarried as Paul recommended. Now we also understand better, why all 144000 are thogether called as Christ bride.

meetings once a week
by Kosonen inmeetings once a week is sufficient according to the bible.
in ezekiels tempel vision we get direction to how often meetings should be hold.
ezekiel 46:1,3:this is what the sovereign lord jehovah has said, as regards the gate of the inner courtyard that is facing east, it should continue shut for the six workdays, and on the sabbath day it should be opened, and on the day of the new moon it should be opened.3and the people of the land must bow down at the entrance of that gate on the sabbaths and on the new moons, before jehovah.. a similar thougth you find in isaiah 66:23. an extra meeting once a month could be nice too.. .

Is the Watchtower finally changing for the better?
by Dead Man Joaquin ini'm having a hard time figuring things out here.
the last few years it's become increasingly cultish - i.e.
the public & kool-aid editions, the infamous november(?

I hope too. In fact the bible tells in 1 Timothy 2:1,2 that we should pray for our government that they could give us a good calm normal life.

I believe it will be better. The change with the meetings I also appeciate. In fact it can become even easier. According to the bible God´s people will come together once a week, and have a extra meeting once a month. (Ezekiel 46:1-3 and Isaiah 66:23) If you like you also can wright to GB and suggest that. Also preaching activity could become more balanced if we follow Jesus´s words in Luke 10:10.
Also the length of meeting programs could be shorter. Jesus´s sermon on the month takes only about 20 minutes to read through. In Mark 4:33 it is written that Jesus talked not longer than people enjoid to listen.

Is there anyone here formerly of the "Annointed"?
by Low-Key Lysmith ini'm sure this question has been asked here before, but i was wondering if someone would care to enlighten us as to the undeniable "sign" or occurence that makes folks believe that they are of the annointed class?.
....or am i asking too personal a question?.
i've always been really curious as to what happens to these people to make them believe this beyond a shadow of a doubt.. apparitions?.

I was batised when I was 13. Then 3 years ago I started to do what the organisation says about biblereading. To read a lot and to start the reading by asking guidance from Jehovah God. And often I have asked God to teach me someting new before the bible reading. And He have given me a lot of new understanding. About two month ago I decided to share with the study result with the governing body. I sent them 6 letters with different subjects. But I have not got any answer. I showed my elders also. One said you are may be right in all. But un other said we do not want that through you new thruths come. And they said we must dissfellowship you. I maid an appeal. But the other elders also decided to disfellowship me. But I continue to go to meetings with my family once a week. And believe that Jehovah gathers a people for his name, Jehovah´s wittnesses.

I have also started to think that it is not nessesary to go so often back to the territory, because Jesus said: If they do not receive you, go out from that city and wipe off the dust from your feet. Luke 10:10,11
