  i went today because i wanted to hear the comments on this wt article.. it did not disappoint.

  one comment that summed things up:.

  "i know i can trust the slave because everything i have ever read from the slave has been for my benefit.

  I went there too and how they gloryfied the slave. An elder mentioned how loving the slave is when they skiped one meeting. It seems that nobody dares to say what the slave was while requiring meeting-attendance 3 times a week. But an other former elder nicely questioned what it means that the bookstudy was skiped, because all the years it was said that the bookstudy will be important when the end comes. But he added that we will undestand it later.

  I was at the circuit assembly both days, a week ago and there was not a single word about 1914 this time and not a word about apostates either. Intresting could it mean something? We'll wait and see.

  Humility

  when discussing doubts/concerns/disagreements about wt doctrines/practices with active jws, have any of you ever been accused of not being humble enough?

  this seems to be a common jw reaction to anyone who disagrees/questions the wt society.

  sometimes it is expressed as do you think you know more than the fds?

  What you say sounds and is very right. I was also accused of not being humble.

  But consider what Jesus said: But from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward which men press, and those pressing forward are seizing it. (Matthew 11:12)

  So according to Jesus you have to press forward. You can just sit and what for the WT-society if you want to enter the Kingdom of God.

  Then they missaply 2John 9 -11:

  Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. He that does remain in this teaching is the one that has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to YOU and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into YOUR homes or say a greeting to him. 11 For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.

  The scripture talks about the teaching of the Christ, it does not say the teaching of the Watchtower or the "Governing Body". The Bible should be the authority to all associated to the Watchtower-society, but when there is a contradicion between the WT and the Bible the JW:s chose the WT.

  On page 94 it reads:

  Persons who deliberately spread (stubbornly hold to and
  speak about) teachings contrary to Bible truth as taught
  by Jehovah's Witnesses are apostates.

  So does it mean that every witness can have his own verson of the truth? Just kidding. When they write "contrary to Bible truth as taught
  by Jehovah's Witnesses are apostates". They mean as taught by the Governing Body. But why did they not write it plainly? May be they where little bit embarrased to say that plainly.

  hi.. im new to the posting-part of this forum and was wondering if there s any other ex-witnesses from sweden in here?.

  i v been reading a lot of the topics here and i have to admit it have helped me to start seeing the bigger picture.

  it took almost a whole year as a ex-borg before i grew the courage to start reading "apostate" information.

  to the student of ignorance and fear mongering : regarding your proclamation of the end times.. the point is the select signs of the times of the gt as written in the bible could be placed well in any moment of human history.

  for last 2000 years and even be placed with greater accuracy in the middle ages, so when someone reads information from apocalyptic religious.

  cults like the jws who are trying to superimpose fear into people so they will react in the way they want them to react, hence it pays to analise.

  Hi Bible Student,

  I sincerely appreciated your personal Bible study results. I have come to very simmilar results myself, and I have been looking if somebody else could come to similar conclusions. And I am happy that you have. For example I understand, like you that there will come 2 prophets with miraculous powers, like you wrote.

  But I expect that all this will happen when it has been preached much more in China, India and in the muslim countries.

  It might take decades or even more than 100 years. During that time true Jews, (anointed) with the help of other people could get the opportunity to build the temple of the vision of Ezekiel. And then earthly Jerusalem would become the centre of true worship. But by some time it would again partially apostacy and the 2 prophets would be killed there in the end of their 42 months prophecying.

  Advice Please!!!!

  i'm new here so i'll give a little background first.. i've never been a witness and i'll never be one.

  my husband is but he hasn't been to any functions in about 15 years, i guess if he did start attending again he would be df'd because he impregnated a "worldly" girl (me) out of wedlock and then married a "worldly" girl (me again).. i need advice because his family relentlessly asks my children to attend and bribes them with very extravagant gifts.

  i won't allow them to go so they stay pissed at me because they don't get the gifts.

  can anyone provide the link of watchtower year and month, that mentions that the resurrected jehovah's witnesses (all resurrected) will not be able to marry again.

  as they will no longer have a desire for marriage..

  When I was at pioneers school in 1992, the school instructors told us that we have no clair understanding in this matter. But at a district assembly about 1 or 2 years ago in the theocratic school part, a sister commented on the highlights about ressurection and said that Jesus clairly stated that in the ressurection no body gets married.
