That's a bunch of b.s. Is the Pope higher than God? I didn't think so. Even Jesus and the Apostles took the very servant job of preaching the gospel throughout the world. Then here's the Pope being look at more special than Jesus? Unbelievable.

VOTE YOUR "SILVER BULLET" QUESTION
by V ini'm quizzing all my sources for the ultimate "silver-bullet" question for a jw at your door.
the best questions will be used in a video series on watchtower comments.
the goal is to help people respond to jws.. the question must be direct and designed to open the jw mind, not necessarily to win an argument.. i would prefer to avoid doctrinal debate such as trinity, cross, even thiest/athiest subjects.

That would be interesting. Let's see the reaction of these JW on your video.

I Received The Holy Spirit!
by Maddie ini want to share with you all a most wonderful experience i have just had.
i have been going to a christian church called the vineyard.
they have a live band and lots of singing goes on there.

That must be a good experience. However, the Holy Spirit is not a kind of energy or an electric wave. The Holy Spirit is a personal being who has feelings (Rom. 15:30), who grieves (Eph. 4:30), who speaks (Rev. 2:7), who groans (Rom. 8:26), who intercedes (Rom. 8:26), who testifies about God (John 15:26), who teaches (John 14:26), who gives commands (Rom. 8:29), who keeps us from preaching in certain places (Acts 16:6-7), who thinks (Rom. 8:27), and who has been blasphemed (Matt. 12: 31-32).
John 14:26, NASB ?"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.?
The Holy Spirit is referred to as "He," meaning that the Holy Spirit is a personal being.
Matt. 28:19 ?"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"?
If the Holy Spirit was not a man with character, but merely an invisible, active power?like an electric wave, or energy?how would it be possible for the Holy Spirit to have a name? The fact that the Holy Spirit has a name proves that the Holy Spirit is a man, with character.
God commanded us to be baptized in the name of the Father, the name of the Son, and the name of the Holy Spirit, because He would administrate His salvation work with three names (of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit) according to each age. By calling out the three names through which God showed His authority, God’s prophets are to baptize people and commemorate God. God bless you Maddie. -

Who thinks other religions can lead to salvation? Survey says...
by TJ - iAmCleared2Land in"among believers who are catholic, nearly 80 percent surveyed believe other religions can lead to a right relationship with god.
more than 70 percent of orthodox christians agreed with the statement.. only among mormon and jehovah's witness believers did fewer than half of people surveyed agree that other religions can lead to eternal life.
thirty-nine percent of mormons surveyed agreed with that statement, and 16 percent of jehovah's witnesses agreed.

This is actually a good topic. Every religion has their own way of salvation. Some say that only by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as your personal savior we can have eternal life. However, if we look at the Bible closely, we can see the true way to salvation and that is by keeping God's words as absolute. Let's see what the Bible testifies regarding eternal life.
John 6:53-55 [ 53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.]
Jesus clearly said that "unless you eat His flesh and drink His blood, you have no life in you". So here we can see that, from Jesus Christ Himself, that salvation is given by eating His flesh and drinking His blood and not just by believing in Him and accepting Him. Now that we know the Jesus body and blood gives eternal life, how can we receive it? In the Bible, Jesus gave us a way.
Luke 22:7-20 [ 7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."
9 "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked.
10 He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11 and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12 He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there."
13 They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15 And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."
17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME."
20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.]
There you go the Passover of the new covenant gives eternal life. Some people say that Passover is only for Jewish but here we can clearly see that Jesus set us the example on how to have eternal life. Jesus didn't keep the Passover of the old covenant where they would slaughter a lamb and eat it on it's appointed time. It was Jesus Passover of the new covenant, the bread and wine which gives eternal life. Only by keeping Jesus words absolutely and not insisting our own fixed idea we can have eternal life. God bless you all.

During a recent study, I told the conductor that I didn't believe in the 'Annointed' & didn't believe the FDS had a 'hotline' to Jehovah. I also said why should we believe what the Watchtower says since it will change in a few years, and why do people give canned answers during the Watchtower study. I objected to people not thinking for themselves. I said I felt that Jesus is the mediator for ALL people, not just the 144,000. He really had no answers to my comments, but thanked me for bringing it up. Then the next few weeks he didn't call or show up for the Bible Study. Once he & a CO dropped by to invite me to the CO's talk (which I didn't go to). He said something about having 'health problems'. Then the following week no call about Bible Study. Apparently I was dropped like a hot potato when I started asking hard questions about the Organization & the doctrines. Has anyone else had a similar experience or heard of a similar occurance?" That's quite interesting. As a matter of fact it's true. I have only been in this forum not even 3 months and I have posted things that I learned in the Bible. Jehovah Witnesses seems to "avoid hard questions" and couldn't accept the truth of the Bible. If they say they are the true church that Jesus built in His foundation, why they can't answer questions which is from the Bible? In person, I talked to them and when they say that the Bible said it, I show what I learned in the Bible and they can't answer it. Clearly the Bible testifies that the true activity from God will not fail. Acts 5:38-39 [ 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.] The Bible speaks itself. Jehovah Witness is a false church.

parakeet said "And Blessed Be to you, brofro. I enjoyed your posts immensely."
Thanks parakeet. It's really not that immensely of what I post. It is God's words and without Him we can do nothing. I have been trying to look up all the denominations out there and so many that my time is not enough to study each fundamentals. It's good to search before you pick a church. I want to pick the church that actually keeps all the laws of Christ.
Matthew 7:15-20 [ 15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.]
We all need to be careful. Many false prophets out there that looks like they keep God's will but inwardly they are wolves waiting to devour you. By looking at their fruits we can recognize them. So many church out there showing that they love God but in God's eyes their actions are heretic.
John 5:41-42 [ 41 "I do not accept praise from men, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.]
Clearly God doesn't accept praises from men. If you don't keep His commandments then you don't really love God. Even if a church worship God everyday, if they are not careful in keeping God's words then in God's eyes it means nothing. So let's keep what the Bible testifies, keep God's will and we will all be blessed! God bless you all.

parakeet said "My mistake, brofro. I had no idea that the size of the letters had anything to do with logic and common sense. After my last post, I thought I was too hard on you and that maybe you wrote in large letters so we women would be able to read your wise words through our veils.
brofro, are you even allowed to write to me if I'm not wearing a veil? You can't be too careful when God is so picky that he'll toss someone into hell for not wearing a piece of fabric on one's head. Who knows what other tiny detail will piss him off? By writing to me, you might already have committed an unforgivable sin.
Watch your back, brofro. God is always watching, and his will may be to zap you for talking to me, an atheist and part-time Buddhist.
(Damn this veil. I just accidentally dragged a corner of it through my pizza. Another drycleaning bill.)"parakeet, that's not my wise words and that's God's words, the Bible, is what you are referring to. Again if you don't agree with what the Bible testifies then I have nothing more to say to you. Also, as far as going to hell, only God can decide on that and God will judge all men according to our works whether good or evil. Let's all do God's will to show that we love Him. God bless you parakeet.

YEAH, THAT WILL CONVINCE EVERYONE THAT YOU'RE RIGHT AND THE REST OF THE WORLD IS WRONG. Loser."parakeet, the LARGE TYPING OF LETTERS is to make it clear as crystal. As far as agreeing, that's up to the person and I don't force anyone to agree with me. Now by you calling me a loser that has nothing to do with what is the topic shows your ignorance and insecurity parakeet. If you have something to comment on the topic we are talking here, feel free. All I'm doing is trying to find the truth of God's will and only through God's words, the Bible, we can learn His will.

Hi everyone I hope all of you had a good weekend. Anyway I just wanna make a response to wobble's comment. I posted it below:
"brofromzion needs to read 1 Cor 11 not in isolation but in conjunction with the whole of scripture, for example Gal 3v28"There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free,MALE nor FEMALE,for you are all one in Christ Jesus"
Is it logical to beleive that a man should not be veilled ,or wear a Tallith ,but a woman should?
Surely Paul is writing this so that NO christian worshipper wears a covering ,especially one connected with Judaism, and so verse 15 says"For long hair is given to her as a covering" not a veil."
Thank you wobble. Here let me post what I read on 1 Cor 11
1 Corinthians 11:1-16 [FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE, AS I FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST. I PRAISE YOU FOR REMEMBERING ME IN EVERYTHING AND FOR HOLDING TO THE TEACHINGS, JUST AS I PASSED THEM ON TO YOU. Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. EVERY MAN WHO PRAYS OR PROPHESIES WITH HIS HEAD COVERED DISHONORS HIS HEAD. AND EVERY WOMAN WHO PRAYS OR PROPHESIES WITH HER HEAD UNCOVERED DISHONORS HER HEAD—it is just as though her head were shaved. IF A WOMAN DOES NOT COVER HER HEAD, SHE SHOULD HAVE HER HAIR CUT OFF; AND IF IT IS A DISGRACE FOR A WOMAN TO HAVE HER HAIR CUT OR SHAVED OFF, SHE SHOULD COVER HER HEAD. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head. In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.]
wobble, clearly it states that only women should have a cover on her head when she prays or worship God. Men are not to have a cover on their head. Now wobble, you interpret verse 15 as "long hair is the covering for women", then how can you explain if men has a long hair or even have a hair? If hair is the cover that Apostle Paul is talking about, then that case all men must shaved their head just as Paul explains in verse 6 that states "If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head." The Word of God doesn't contradicts itself. Clearly, Apostle Paul is talking about women should have a cover on their head when they pray or worship God with a presentable cover like veil.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 [ 19 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.]
wobble, Galatians 3:28 states that we are all one in Jesus Christ. That's true because Israelites and Gentiles are now one in Jesus Christ. Then if that's the case, everyone should follow the "law of Christ" because we are all under it now. I hope this is clear to you wobble. Also, to those who think my comment is "sexist" then you guys have a problem with what the Bible testifies. I'm just someone trying to be a good servant of God. God bless you all.

God's Sabbath Day - Saturday or Sunday?
by brofromzion ingod bless you.
so you worship god on sunday?
didn't god commanded us to keep the sabbath day?
-
brofromzion
Keeping the sabbath is the worship of the planet Saturn - but keeping this day you are in fact still worshiping this pagan god. He was worshiped on Saturns' day which today is called Saturday.
The planetary body Saturn, in the Hebrew language called Shabbatai comes from the three-letter Hebrew word Shabbat. Shabbat, of course, refers to the seventh day of the week in Jewish reckoning, Shabbatai was the seventh planetary body known to the ancient Jews. Seven is a special number of rest and is addressed in Jewish numerology (Taken from http://jordanmaxwell.com/articles/religion/religion10.html)
Hi LouBelle thanks for the response. That's an interesting post however we have to keep the Sabbath Day "according to the Bible" and "not to worship the Saturn." It is a commandment from God according to the Bible. It can easily be distinguish the difference between "keeping God's commandments" or "worshipping the Saturn".
If Jesus and the Apostles kept the Sabbath Day, then we have to follow their examples to show we love God. If we still wanna insist our own flaws on how to show our love to God, then in God's eyes we don't really love Him. Only by keeping His commandments show we love God according to His words.
John 14:21 [Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.]
John 5:41-42 [I do not accept praise from men, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love(commandments) of God in your hearts.]
God bless you LouBelle.
