2 Corinthians 11:3-4 [ 3 But I am afraid that just as Eve(YOU) was deceived by the serpent's(Jehovah Witness) cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone(Jehovah Witness) comes to YOU and preaches A JESUS other than THE JESUS WE PREACHED, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.]

Apostle Paul warns us of "a different Jesus" being preach to us or a false prophet that will try to deceive us. Be careful my fellow true Christians.

That's a good question. Because if you read the Bible especially the New Testament, Christians are those who follow the laws of Christ. But if you deny that Christ Himself is not God then more likely your not a Christian.

what's your take on the spirit realm?

are there angels, demons, ghosts?

how do you otherwise explain those who for a fact are demonpossessed, scourged, woodoo, mediums, people who experience things moving and sounding in there homes etc.. a missonary in kenya once told me she studied with a demonpossessed woman and that the sister herself spoke with the demon and told him/her to leave and said jehovahs name.

Actually, we all used to be angels. There are proofs in the Bible that testifies we came from Heaven and we were angels. It's in the Bible.

That's a bunch of b.s. Is the Pope higher than God? I didn't think so. Even Jesus and the Apostles took the very servant job of preaching the gospel throughout the world. Then here's the Pope being look at more special than Jesus? Unbelievable.

I Received The Holy Spirit!

i want to share with you all a most wonderful experience i have just had.

i have been going to a christian church called the vineyard.

they have a live band and lots of singing goes on there.

The Holy Spirit is a personal being who has feelings (Rom. 15:30), who grieves (Eph. 4:30), who speaks (Rev. 2:7), who groans (Rom. 8:26), who intercedes (Rom. 8:26), who testifies about God (John 15:26), who teaches (John 14:26), who gives commands (Rom. 8:29), who keeps us from preaching in certain places (Acts 16:6-7), who thinks (Rom. 8:27), and who has been blasphemed (Matt. 12: 31-32).

John 14:26, NASB ?"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.?

The Holy Spirit is referred to as "He," meaning that the Holy Spirit is a personal being.

Matt. 28:19 ?"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"?

If the Holy Spirit was not a man with character, but merely an invisible, active power?like an electric wave, or energy?how would it be possible for the Holy Spirit to have a name? The fact that the Holy Spirit has a name proves that the Holy Spirit is a man, with character.

God commanded us to be baptized in the name of the Father, the name of the Son, and the name of the Holy Spirit, because He would administrate His salvation work with three names (of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit) according to each age. By calling out the three names through which God showed His authority, God’s prophets are to baptize people and commemorate God. God bless you Maddie.

This is actually a good topic. Every religion has their own way of salvation. Some say that only by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as your personal savior we can have eternal life. However, if we look at the Bible closely, we can see the true way to salvation and that is by keeping God's words as absolute. Let's see what the Bible testifies regarding eternal life.

John 6:53-55 [ 53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.]

Jesus clearly said that "unless you eat His flesh and drink His blood, you have no life in you". So here we can see that, from Jesus Christ Himself, that salvation is given by eating His flesh and drinking His blood and not just by believing in Him and accepting Him. Now that we know the Jesus body and blood gives eternal life, how can we receive it? In the Bible, Jesus gave us a way.

Luke 22:7-20 [ 7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."

9 "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked.

10 He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11 and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12 He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there."

13 They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15 And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."

17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME."

20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.]

There you go the Passover of the new covenant gives eternal life. Some people say that Passover is only for Jewish but here we can clearly see that Jesus set us the example on how to have eternal life. Jesus didn't keep the Passover of the old covenant where they would slaughter a lamb and eat it on it's appointed time. It was Jesus Passover of the new covenant, the bread and wine which gives eternal life. Only by keeping Jesus words absolutely and not insisting our own fixed idea we can have eternal life. Dropped from my Bible Study like a hot potato

i had a bible study with a jehovah's witness for the past year and a half.

i was also attending meetings, but never went out in field service.

during a recent study, i told the conductor that i didn't believe in the 'annointed' & didn't believe the fds had a 'hotline' to jehovah.

That's quite interesting. As a matter of fact it's true. I have only been in this forum not even 3 months and I have posted things that I learned in the Bible. Jehovah Witnesses seems to "avoid hard questions" and couldn't accept the truth of the Bible. If they say they are the true church that Jesus built in His foundation, why they can't answer questions which is from the Bible? In person, I talked to them and when they say that the Bible said it, I show what I learned in the Bible and they can't answer it. Clearly the Bible testifies that the true activity from God will not fail. Acts 5:38-39 [ 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.] The Bible speaks itself. Jehovah Witness is a false church.

Thanks parakeet. It's really not that immensely of what I post. It is God's words and without Him we can do nothing. I have been trying to look up all the denominations out there and so many that my time is not enough to study each fundamentals. It's good to search before you pick a church. I want to pick the church that actually keeps all the laws of Christ.

Matthew 7:15-20 [ 15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.]

We all need to be careful. Many false prophets out there that looks like they keep God's will but inwardly they are wolves waiting to devour you. By looking at their fruits we can recognize them. So many church out there showing that they love God but in God's eyes their actions are heretic.

John 5:41-42 [ 41 "I do not accept praise from men, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.]

Clearly God doesn't accept praises from men. If you don't keep His commandments then you don't really love God. Even if a church worship God everyday, if they are not careful in keeping God's words then in God's eyes it means nothing. So let's keep what the Bible testifies, keep God's will and we will all be blessed! God bless you all.

parakeet, that's not my wise words and that's God's words, the Bible, is what you are referring to. Again if you don't agree with what the Bible testifies then I have nothing more to say to you. Also, as far as going to hell, only God can decide on that and God will judge all men according to our works whether good or evil. Let's all do God's will to show that we love Him.
