Restored Worldwide Church of God - Watchtower in 12 years
by Dogpatch inthis is the watchtower media dept.
in 12 years, after they lose their minds and start killing their members.. then splinter sects will form, based on the degree of corporate punishment each sect believes in.. some will still kill their errant children.. others will believe in spanking and forcing all meeting attendance,.
and finally, there will be those, prodded by the holy spirit, who renounce all physical contact with other people, preferring punishment by various eye signals.

Show-down with elder at the kingdom hall
by Hobo Ken inthis is podcast 8 in the death or obedience series.. this was recorded on christmas day 2008.. after our last visit from two local elders my wife felt she could no longer be known as a jehovah's witness and had chosen to disassociate herself in november 2008.. we had been on a family holiday and had returned to find that one of the local elders who had visited us had warned off my mother-in-law from having anything to do with my wife - her daughter.
he also made false statements about one of my children.. i decided to confront this elder at the kingdom hall.
this podcast is the recording of our conversation.. notice how he denies making such statements to my mother-in-law and falsely accuses me of teaching her beliefs contrary to jehovah's witnesses.. i ask whether it's a sin to no longer be a jehovah's witness?.

It was you who started this off by saying my choice not to leave the dramatic way you left was inadequate.
In response to you criticising in a pedantic way (my interpretation) the choice of argument Hobo had with Ronnie Hunter. My point was, at least Hobo had the balls. I apologise (and I do mean this) for coming over attack dog towards you. I genuinely don't mean any ill-will towards you personally.

Your blog, conversations with Reniaa, probably elsewhere too if that's a pattern.
As above, my blog is on an apostate website. Reniaa; a poster on an apostate website. I'm not exactly going to the doors of local JWs with anti-Governing Body material. You've got your way of dealing with things, I've got mine.

Well me for starters. You told me I would be a man if I told the elders the religion is wrong to their face. That's an attempt at coercion to imply I am cowardly if I don't act as you say.
Saying I need an emotional crutch is implying I'm deficient in some way.
And what's the point of your blog if not to show the Witnesses are wrong?
The blog on Freeminds, the apostate website, the site no solid Jehovah's Witness would go to, that blog?
And speaking at church and telling them the Witnesses are wrong and praying for the Witnesses to change their ways.
When did I speak at church telling them the Witnesses are wrong?
And as for praying, well, you're an atheist, so what difference does that make?
At the end of the day, you frequent a website (this one) where the vast majority of the content is exposing the Watch Tower Society/Jehovah's Witnesses as being wrong. You contribute to that content. Plank/Eye?

Attending church is dramatic for a Jehovah's Witness.
And so is no longer attending meetings organised by the Governing Body and sharing in the door-to-door preaching work. Do you do either with any regularity?
. So I wonder why you implied my choice was cowardly and not the way to "be a man".
Your choice of interpretation.
Believing you must show the Witnesses are wrong is not really change, it is just swapping labels.
Again, how am I doing that?
If you come to a point where you are happy to let others believe and do what they want that will be a real exit from the Witnesses.
Well, when you arrive at that point too, where you're happy to let others believe what they wish and do what they want, you'll have successfully exited the Witnesses too.

Just because that's your choice I don't think you should try to force it on others.
I'll repeat what I said above, I think you're mixing me up with someone else.

So you agree with me then that it's pointless trying to get people like Ron Hunter to change their belief
Not only is it pointless, I wouldn't even try. I think you're mixing me up with someone else.

I think it comes down to the rather dramatic way you have chosen to exit.
Sorry, what dramatic way would that be, exactly? My, such sweeping statements. I told my father that we were going to church. My mother urged me to disassociate myself to spare my father the trauma of reporting my 'wrongdoing'. So I did, as did my wife. That was it.
The reality is, we chose to leave. You chose to stay. We're living with our choice. You're living with yours.

I was talking about you. The statement was not predicated on my having left.
Please cite instances of me trying to change the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A technical distinction of the sort an elder might be proud of. It's 'worth noting' that it means diddly-squat if people arrive at the recordings through the site where people are identified.
Well, I'm sure you know the name of a decent solicitor who'll be willing to take up the case on your behalf. Keep up the criticisms of Hobo and Iknowall, too. You're doing almost as good a job as the Witnesses of Bishopbriggs Congregation.
