a question here mainly for ex-elders etc , though all input would be helpful.. a letter that i wrote some time ago confidentially to an elder regarding the usual issues about the gb etc has come into the hands of a couple of members of the congregation who are regarding it a prime facie evidence that i am an apostate.

though the letter isn't especially incriminating as such , it does flag up several mistakes that the wtbts has made.

the brother has described me as "verging on apostate.".

Hi Dozy. The letter and the testimony of the elder are sufficient to start proceedings against you. You've listened to Hobo Ken's recordings, so you'll know how they'll use whatever 'evidence' they can lay their hands on if their goal is to DF you.

You say you don't wish to be DFd. However, I wonder, if weighing up the huge amounts of ass kissing you'll need to do to avoid it, whether you'd be better off having yourself castrated!

If you still believe in prayer and the power of the Spirit, then you'll soon find out what you need to do. Hope you get through it as unscathed as possible and with your manhood intact...

i do a lot of ebaying.. last week i sold a spanish edition of "hymns of millennial dawn".

it was not an original, in fact i don't believe "hymns of millennial dawn" was ever published by the societyt in spanish.

anyways, the auction title said "hymn of millennial dawn -spanish ed.

They only started doing questions in 1967 and then it was in a large group with one brother from the "Your Word is a Lamp to my Foot" book released in 1967. There were only 80 questions then. The congregation servant handled it and we did not have to answer every question individually.
Before this people just showed up at the baptism with towel and suit in hand. No screening through the congregation.

Now it's infinitely more cultish.

Hello id like to intruduce myself

ive been lurking this site for quite a while but for some reason never could muster up the courage to post.. let me give a little background on my self.. i am 18 and male an still living with my parents.

i was baptised at 15 basically against my will (by cracking under the pressure) but only truly broke out of the drone like mindswhen i was 17. since then its been totall choas in my life all of it stemming from the orginization of course.

my parents are the defenition of brainwashed wittnesses, my father even belives he is anointed.. after i got baptised i suffered from intense deppression and with a little soul searching, after a year i realized that i need some time for my self.

Yep, it's a good point. Once again they show how far removed from the 1st C Christians they really are and how much they add to God' word. The sole purpose? To elevate their organisation.

WT Society Makes JW's Feel Bad about Themselves - No Self Worth

i have noticed this a lot in attitudes of witness relatives i've talked with over the last few years , as well as other former witness friends i have talked to.

many witnesses feel bad about themselves due to having it drilled into them that we are all " sinners " who allegedly inherited " sin and imperfection " from adam and eve .

that essentially humans are " born dead " or in a " dying " condition due to alleged " inherited sin " .

But it's all part of the plan--humans are helpless --> we therefore need God's Kingdom --> hey! It's already been here since 1914 --> The GB is the only one who figured that out --> so put all hope in whatever they say and forget any thoughts, feelings, or talents you might've had otherwise. It's a simple machine, and it works pretty ham well, if you ask me. We paste smiles on our faces, but every one of us is worn out and beaten down--we just don't realize who's holding the stick. All we can see is the carrot.
