Please note that in the WT article of July 15th 2008, the WTS is referring to Mark 4:26-29. In Mark's account of the parable he doesn't cite Jesus' explanation. However, the cross-reference in v26 of Mark 4 takes you to Matthews account, chapter 13:24. In this instance Jesus exlpains in v36,37 that the sower, while initially described as being a man, is in fact the Son of Man.
The reason I point this out is that JWs will cite Mark 4 as being about a man. However, in Matthew's account we get the clarification from Jesus himself that this man is the Son of Man.

New Light - July 15, 2008 SE of the WT - Sower and Seed - another angle
by independent_tre ini've seen the topic where they try to explain invisible growth, but something else about this wt magazine stands out.
if this isn't adulterating the word of god, i don't know what is.
the wts has done it again and managed to usurp jesus' position and interject themselves into his place.

The Son of Man is always Jesus.
Let's cast our minds back to the March 10th WT Study, all about being obedient and submissive to the GB.
I don't have the article in front of me here at work, but it stated the following 3 identifiers of faithfulness. In the paragraphs directly after identifying Jesus as the King of the Kingdom is stated;
'Other sheep' show their faithfulness by;
1. Assisting the anointed in the preaching work.
2. Loyally submitting to the Governing Body.
3. (and this is one that really takes the cookie) You show your faithfulness to the GB by living by God's righteous standards.
Let's reflect on that; living by God's standards, as have been in place since the Garden of Eden, and will be in place until the end of the 1000 year reign, living by those standards now is the third of three ways the 'other sheep' show their faithfulness to the anointed.
There's no mention of the ransom sacrifice (of course that doesn't actually apply to the 'other sheep' anyway) and demonstrating faith in that. Instead, we've to assist the anointed in preaching, submit to the Governing Body and live by God's standards.
In that order.
So this article where they blithely re-define Scripture to suit their own means shouldn't really surprise us. And yes, I agree that they're shaping up to something BIG. -

You know when pioneers get interviewed and they say, "How could I ever justify to Jehovah stepping down as a pioneer?" [side-pedant-note; Eph 2 - 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting. 10 For we are a product of his work and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them.]
could starving to death be a justifiable reason? -

@ White Dove;
Now you're getting on my wavelength.
Who was the founder of the org? Why have a watchtower as the org's symbol? What other religious group have a watchtower as a symbol?
Put the pieces together and you see this organisation with a group of select men transplanting themselves into the place of the Mediator instructing millions of followers around the world NOT to partake of the memorial emblems (they, after all, write the memorial talk outline). -

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the notion of Satan, of refusing the sacraments, or celebrating a black mass is actually in the minds of those in attendace. It wasn't on my mind when I attended.
I'm saying the people who arrangefor the memorial to be celebrated this way perhaps have more of an inkling as to what is really being done.
Who decided that only the anointed could partake, thus setting the whole meeting up in such a way as the vast majority of the attendees would refuse the sacraments? -

7 million JWs. All sat in their kingdom halls, their children at their side. The date is Nisan 14.
In front of them lie the sacraments of Christ's ransom sacrifice. They've just read scriptures where Jesus stated his followers were to continue partaking of the bread and the wine in remembrance of him and his sacrifice.
Partaking of these emblems means you want to have the ransom sacrifice applied in your behalf. By partaking you show you have faith that Christ was raised for your sins.
Jesus makes no mention that the emblems should only be partaken by a small number of elite Christians. Rather all who believe in Christ should partake of them.
Yet, as those emblems are passed along the rows of somber Jehovah's Witnesses, the very ones who make the claim to be the only true Christians on earth, no one eats the bread. No one drinks the wine. They all, in effect, turn their noses up at the symbols of Christ's ransom sacrifice. Is it melodrama on my part to now view this celebration as a Satanic denial of Christ? -

Google, Apple & how Next Gen INTERNET will DECIMATE the Watchtower Society
by jwfacts inthink the early 80's.
one of the most important events in watchtower history was the release of crisis of conscience by former governing body member f. franz.
slow distribution of this "apostate" book lead to a minor loss of members.

I earn my living via the 'net and I'm not of the 'net generation. I see it's true power and for many it will herald in the end of their service to this false religion.
I know of a 9 year old born-in who is asking her parents how they know JWs are the only true religion. She has 'net access at home. How long do you think it will take her, when the answers from her parents no longer satisfy, to do a Google?
Let's not scoff at the notion of being able to get video from the KH in your locality. As has been pointed out, a camera phone can easily record an embarrassing portion of a WT discussion and upload the resultant video to the 'net, complete with GPS co-ordinates. Add a view meta tags...
The more information available in as many places as possible re. JW fallacies the more JWs will be reached.
