My anointed step dad always mentions about how the first century christians had a governing body also. Where in the bible does it actually say that? Does anyone know? To me governing body is just a dictatorship of men who think they are right and can control, no different than the governments....governing body set rules, and ultimately decide your future as far as I'm concerned. I just want to know if it's actually in the bible that they had one back then...???

I have a hard time with some of A@G's posts. Come on. we are not here ot make fun of them. we were all one of them who are we to sit here and make ourselves no one up on them. at the time we thought we were better than all everyone else.........now on the other side of the fence why do we need to pick fun, and belittle them??????????????

I'm watching some youtube video's from newagegamer3018. Before in my research...I watched some of his video's when he was a JW apoligist. Now he has DA'd himself and is defending the scriptures, not JW's.
This is the first time ever that I actually am starting to think/beleive that Jesus and Jehovah are the same thing. He makes many good points. Now the only question I have that always sticks with me, and my mom throws this at me and I never know how to answer, is this. When Jesus was on earth and prayed to his father, who the heck did he pray to IF he was indeed God/Jehovah? When he cried and sweat blood, who was he praying to??? Himself?
Is it possible for Jehovah to be in heavens as spirit, yet on earth as Jesus at the same time?
Maybe I'm out to left field here but I need help understanding this. It confuses me.Some honest help would be appreciated.

by lostsheep82 ineverytime i talk to my mom about the religion i once was a part of, she always throws scriptures at me.
even though i provided her and my 'anointed' step dad with an 85 page letter of research on this religion, provided quotes of all failed prophecies, and all the bs the society feeds them, personal emails from the un and letters from the society in their stupid defence....they just took it as apostate material.
my step dad even admitted he didn't read the whole thing, but he got the 'just' of my point.

Thanks for all your responses. I guess what I always try to get through to my mom is that I don't believe only JW's will survive. I think they are so closed minded and I can't believe only a few months ago I felt the same way.
I wish they'd wake up! It tears families apart, and makes for agony on those who choose NOT to believe. Fawk!
