Is there any good?

my wife says that, while she can see the negative stuff, the good outweighs the bad.

How can good outweigh the bad if the whole thing is a sham? JW religion is false. They teach twisted scripture and then use it to control their followers minds and lives. How can they really be true people of God and preach such hate? Jesus loved everyone, and died for everyone. He did not sit back and say "Well, you are not a JW so I cannot be your friend. I also cannot help you in your time of need. Sorry!"
I will tell you that I received more love from those in "Christiandom" than I did when I was going to the kingdom hall amongst all of the "brothers and sisters"
So in this light...... the good does not outweigh the bad in the case of JW's

the one that got me recently is the matter of elders being removed if they encourage college education in the cong.

My favourite is the 2 year "forgiveness" rule.
If you committed a sin (up until a few years ago this also included adultery or fornication), but no one found out about it, but your exemplary behaviour over the past 2 years has demonstrated that Jehovah's continues to bless you, then you are "forgiven" and neither reproved or removed from congregational responsibilities.

hi people,,,what i mean about personal decision is that, if someone wants to believe what they really want, what will the problem be, so why do some people have to question their beliefs and their type of life.

wouldn't it be better if we try to respect everyones life, no meter how they do it.

I am actually a student nurse right now. However, the hospital that I work with has a policy that if any procedure conflicts with your personal values or beliefs you do not have to do it. Of course you have to go through the correct procedures like notifying your supervisor and such. But, I appreciate the fact that they have that policy.

I have read this boeard for some time. Every posting that I have read has helped tremendously. It is good to read of others experiences. I know now that I am not alone in what I experienced. I would love to respond to many of the postings on here, but I do not write much due to a lack of time! But, I do want to thank you all for this board as it is a great help to those that want more information and even better for those that want out but do not know what to do.
