  sleep deprivation.

  does anyone here have or have had a problem sleeping at night?.

  you can take a wild guess as to what i may have to attribute to this.... .

  when i try to sleep ar night.... mind thinks and wanders to all sorts of terrible things that could be happening to me at anytime.

  Since I was a child
  I have only slept no more than 5 hours a night
  For me it was an adequate amount of rest
  
  As I got older I began sleeping less and less
  
  This started to be a problem
  I would sleep for 2 hours and then awaken
  
  By noon I would be exhausted, for the first time in my life
  
  Went through sleep studies
  No real problems showed up
  
  So I started taking Ambien
  Problem solved
  
  It may not be the best solution out there
  but it does work for me
  
  Don't attempt to self medicate
  Sleeplessness could be indicative
  of a number of serious problems
  
  See a good doctor or sleep specialist
  Do get it looked into

  Great Strides Have been Made!

  since i last posted here, some wonderful blessings have come my way!

  my oldest son who i shunned in 1981 and who has since cut me out of his life....has finally "come around" and we are making some real headway towards being in each other's lives again.

  he has restored an old 1933 ford jalopy and asked me if i wanted to go for a ride in it with him!

  i learned today that one can never know what may make a dedicated jw think.

  i have a man working for me who is a pretty devout jw.

  he knows i used to attend meetings and occasionaly tries to "rescue" me and i always throw him a few reasons as to why i quit and he just shrugs it off.

  searching the net for info about jwscame from another websitefriend told me about otheron an emotional level where were you when you first came here?.

  frustrated or fed up with jws and wts needed some info and support from other people who may feel the same waywas dfed or daed and felt lost and alonewas involved with a jw and needed info about this religion that was interfering with the relationshipotherhow long did you read before you started posting?.

  hi everyone, thought it was time to say hi after nearly a year lurking on this site!!

  abit about me... i was born into the jw's and have been baptised for about 15yrs and was appointed as an ms about a year ago.

  i have been a die hard jw for the last few years, but because of the arrogant and unloving attitude of certain 'spirit appointed' men within the cong and circuit i began to wounder if what i had really was 'the truth' and caused me to do some digging on some of the fundamental teachings.

  i'm new to this site and just thought i'd share a little bit about myself.. i was born and raised in los angeles, grew up as a jw and left the org when i was 22. i wasn't df'd or da'd, i just faded (very quickly).

  i left the org 10 years ago and never looked back....or so i thought.

  it wasn't until recently that i realized how much of a hold they still had on me.

  Assembly Hall shakedown - Columbia SC

  from someone who attended:.

  there was a big elders meeting in columbia sc on saturday june 9.. around 240 congregations, 2000+ elders.. the society wants to build a brand new assembly hall in columbia, sc, to handle the huge influx of jws moving to the us southeast from up north.. they expect to have it done in 34 months (finished by april 2010).

  total cost estimated to be approximately $8 - 9 million.. they want to have the whole thing paid for by the time the building is done - no long term loans.. they "strongly suggested" that each of the 240 congregations commit to supporting "their share" of the expense.

  ... unless you read apostate views.. you may become inactive, like i did, and find a way to assimilate yourself into the normal world.. but you will always have at your core a view of the world that the witnesses gave you.

  their basic teachings will still be your world view.. you will never realize you were indoctrinated by a cult.. for those poisoned by jehovah's witnesses there is only one antidote.. there is only one way to understand your life and progress from there.. the only true cure for jehovah's witnesses is apostasy..
