You are also correct that there are always two sides to every story. I remember how horrible I felt when I found my hubby's stash of porn, or when he jacked off in bed with me "asleep" beside him. So no one really knows what goes on between a husband and wife.

We have a husband with a story that may or may not be true. We have an absent and publicly maligned wife who has had no chance to tell her side of the story, of which no doubt one exists. We have numerous posters who have believed everything written by the husband without question and have joined him in decrying his wife with insult after insult.

A clear sign that the inmates have taken over the asylum and very typical of the type of poster this site has attracted in recent years. Gullible, uninformed and lacking in discretion.

after coming here almost every day for years, it will be bewildering to have no jwd.

and the truth is, there are other places that will pop up in the years to come but i doubt very much anything will be of this magnitude in regard to assisting others out of the organization.. i think if any are so inclined, they should make their emails available so as to make further contact with our cyber friends.. well now, i'm sure a lot of lurkers are kicking themselves for not joining here.

An attempt at reconciliation.

my cousin - who was also my best friend for 35 years have been involved in an email exchange in recent weeks.

previous to that he was mostly shunning me.

without getting into details, he had given me room to explain things, especially as to how i have 'changed' as a result of leaving.

Well said, though as you say a person needs open eyes to really understand what you are trying to say.

When I left the WTS I spent the last year speaking very openly about WTS failings to those with whom I was aorking as an elder. In retrospect I am surprised that no action was taken against me, though the congregation had some of the most progressive thinking elders that I came across while a JW, which I am sure helped. What was surprising is that those whom I thought were really taking to heart what I was saying are still holed up in the WTS, cynical, but clinging. Those that I though would remain, left. In speaking to some of those who left the common thread is that they researched their way out. It was the information that gave them all they needed.

It seems to me that those who do not go through this informational process have a much greater struggle with leaving.

I am what I think. Knowledge, real knowledge, is powerful. Information, science, and observation cannot be replaced with someone else's morality. I don't need anyone to tell me what to think any longer.

I think this about says it all.

I can't keep track of who likes who and which people are fighting on the board. Since we really don't know each other here, I don't see the point of making our disagreements turn into personality clashes and the like. And I really don't have time for it.

Why bother? No need to worry about JK666, he is just doing his usual trolling. This must be the fourth or fifth thread that he has started just to try to seek some pathetic idea of revenge that his sozzled brain has manufactured. It is also the seventh or eight time (at least!) that he has deliberately attacked me without provocation. Of course he is doing this to 'protect' and 'support' others and not because his feelings have been hurt in some encounter that he has had with me.

When I react to his words, he bleats and whines like a little crybaby, and goes running off to seek the solace of moderators who have to end up apologizing to me due to the position that he places them in. He is a troublemaker whose emotions are unhinged due to alchoholism. The last place this unfortunate creature should be is posting to a discussion board where his wee little sensitivities might be hurt, and his hypocricies exposed. I presume AA is not 'supportive' enough for him.

HS, you have proven yourself a jerk. Others who are jerks are currently unable to post, due to confronting Simon in inappropriate ways. I think that you should reevaluate your dogmatic stances, and try to open your narrow little pea brained mind to the "big world outside," and escape your narrow little self-inflicted boundaries.

You would not know a jerk if you saw him through the bottom of your glass. In fact anybody relying on you for any substansive information is on to a loser.

I think that the repeated threads that you have started, merely to cause trouble with me, and your repeated uprovoked insults in threads that I have posted and where you suddenly appear like a fetid belch, shows just how tolerant out moderators are of complete morons like yourself.

As I said. Put down the bottle, drop this silliness of trying to extract revenge on a person who regularly eats you for breakfast whenever you try, and above all, GET SOME HELP and GROW UP.
