Six months after i stopped attending the elders canceled my congregation subscriptions and refused to renew my personal one.
That’s bad – Did they give you a reason or where they “Not speaking to you”. Did you jump, were you pushed or did you run.?
Anyway thanks to this board even if i stopped receiving the WTS publications altogether, i'm always months ahead in knowing all the WT news!
So true – I know more about whats going on than most of the elders. Leo Greenlees was a classic case in point.I’d be happy to e-mail scans of the latest mags (and KMs ) to anyone who asks

When things started to "fall off"
by comment ini was thinking about this in several areas today.. 1) district conventions and house-to-house work.
if you were a witness for a long time, you probably remember a time when going to the conventions seemed perfectly "normal" to you: it was absolutely "the thing" to sit in a sports arena all day listening to bible talks and counsel from men in suits.. but at some point, did you ever start to feel like you were participating in a cultural relic, so to speak?.
as in, "here it is, the 1990's, and the society is still using fundamentally the same old format they've been using all century long.

Aren’t the field service experiences presented on the platform soooo exaggerated – “I placed 4 ***** books this week and started a new study with a lovely *****” Then you think hey I worked with that person that day and the householder said nothing of the sort.

1) Absolutely. There are much better teaching methods and as for people in the territory. It is an exceedingly rare thing for someone out of the territory to “progress to baptism” Most seem to result from family contact or informal witnessing. (Mostly I think it is because they are at a week point in there life or they are mentally unstable)
2) I pioneered a lot. Putting my trust in God. So I Trusted and trusted and the more I trusted the harder it got. Then I realised “this shit just ain’t working like it is supposed to”.

Very Good Point.
I'll keep a basin near my door from now on. When a JW comes to the door I'll ask them to take of their shoes.

here he informed us of "jehovah's" view of the scientific "annular flood theory" of one isaac newton vail, which the watchtower society had been promoting for decades:.

Social Denial 2
by Victor_E inthe year is circa 1989 in san antonio texas, our congregation is doing a quick build.
this experience would change my life and the life of two other families in our area.
i was one of the department heads of this project and what i saw and experienced left me seeing reality for what it was and not what i had been told it was.
