hi newbie here, i have a question that is begining to bug me a little.
i am not a jw or ever will be but my partner was some years ago and quite devout about the religeon then she was df'd for commiting adultry with another man (not me) who was not a jw, she got divored from her jw husband and left behind her 2 boys and went to live with 'the other man', anyway over the years her relationship with her 2 boys began to grow again and now she see's them once every 2 weeks, i should perhaps point out that her ex is a devout jw, she has told me that she would like to at some point go back to the 'hall' and carry on her religeon, i said that i dont have a problem with that but, i wasn't keen on the idea of her walking the streets knocking on doors due to the amount of hatred that some poeple clearly have for jw's and the fact that we now seem to live in a violent world, yes i know that jw's have to do so much 'service work', she has told me that she has not visited a hall since her df so therefore has not repented her sins as it were but on sunday she said that there was an assembly in our local vicinity (it's the annual one) and she would like to go.
i found this a bit odd that someone who had been df'd would be allowed to go to the jw's event of the year so began to wonder if whilst visiting her sons she maybe did visit the hall to somehow show repent with a view to be allowed back into the faith.

i have been married for over 30 years to a woman who was as good as i could have realistically hoped for and i probably am as good as she could have hoped for.. yet, over time, she has become less and less willing to respect my experience and conclusions concerning life.
the signs of disrespect are a knee-jerk reaction to doubt and correct my point of view even before i complete a thought or sentence.
while some of that can be seen in her mother and may be conditioned, my departure from the organizartion and her continued dedication to same has amplified her apparent inner distain.
It sounds like she squeezed out of you what she could and now you're just dead weight.
She should be with a real mf for a while, she'll change, sometimes we don't know what we've got until it's gone.
Anyway, remember that she's under mind control.

the letter expressed confidence that the spanish witnesses would, despite the move, continue to generously support the world wide work and ends with an appeal to remain united under the direction of the witness leadership.. at a glance, this story may seem like a non-issue, perhaps, just another example of reorganization and consolidation within a multinational corporation; however, the dissolution of the printing branch has caused considerable hard feelings among some of jehovahs witnesses in spain.
to understand the reason we must first look at the history behind the branch office and external factors that some feel prompted this abrupt move.. early in their history, jehovahs witnesses began printing their trademark watchtower magazines and associated books and tracts in-house at their bethel headquarters in brooklyn, new york.
So much for putting their thrust in Jehovah.
i get so sick and tired of jws constantly questioning the source of information or the motives of the one providing it.. if satan said "2+2=4" would you then be stupid enough to say 'that cannot be true because the devil said it".
if the fds said "2+2 does not = 4" would you disagree with it??.
would you agree with it if they held a gun to your head and said "you will be killed if you dont agree??".
During our exit from the wt, we met with the elders a few times.
Once they were talking to my wife ,here at home, about the trinity and the nwt "imperfections" .
At one point one of the elders told her:
"Today the society tell us there's no trinity so there's no trinity. If in the future they tell us that there is a trinity than there is a trinity".

i have just been reading another thread and thought about how importance the outward appearance is to jws.. however, god does not care for the exterior, he is concerned with what is at the core.
inner beauty is everasting.. 1 samuel 16:7 (new international version) .
7 but the lord said to samuel, "do not consider his appearance or his height, for i have rejected him.
"Keeping the congregation clean" is what they use when they WANT to get rid of someone.
If someone catches an elder doing something wrong and he speaks up, he's "trying to create division".
The elders have an agenda,keep the business running ,therefore they bend the rules depending on who's involved .
our cat carmel has been sick for over a month.
she started puking every morning and about a week later, on barbara's birthday, she puked five time before 8:00 am.
we canceled our plans and took her to the vet, he ran a bunch of tests and sold us some medicine for the puking.
PEC, our dog had something similar about 3 weeks ago.
We took her to the vet and she had pancreatitis and diabetes,the vet didn't know which was causing the other.
Sold us food cans and put her on insulin.
She's doing better,the pancreas at least,but she'll be on insulin for life now.
Did your vet mentioned anything about diabetes?

The wts has being throwing dirt at the whole world with their publications but,when it comes to them,they don't use the same measuring stick.
I'm referring to the elders being told to keep quite when the paticular question was asked.
