Iran vs Israel and the USA = WW III (Should we be worried?)
by Me Myself and I inthis particular bowl of soup has been bubbling for some time now, with various posturing and toing and froing.
looking at the media and the subsequent comments from israel regarding iran, it looks clear that something is going to happen soon, very soon..... with iran having the ears of both china and russia, israel having the us and of course we (uk) as the states poodle on the other side.
i wonder if this could be the beginning of the end?.

I wouldn't worry about it.
If a loving God is in charge, it can only mean good things for the faithful.

leavingwt, thats crazy, how much did you pay for AC at Bethel?
NOTE: While I was still there, they stopped billing Bethelites for air conditioning.
However, during the first several years that I was there (1994 through about 1998), they charged an annual electricity surcharge to all Bethelites with air conditioners in their rooms. It was either $30 or $60, I do not recall. I felt it was absolutely ridiculous. To a person 'earning' $90 per month, even $30 is a game-changing expenditure.

What does the Watchtower Society really teach?
by transhuman68 inthe title of this thread is of course, a parody of the wts book: what does the bible really teach?
not that the witnesses really know.... and this is the problem..... .
im just amazed at the people coming to this forum from the witnesses who have no idea what is fact and what is fiction in the bible, so we are having discussions about talking snakes and noahs ark; all the weird and wonderful stories written down by the jewish scribes all those millennia ago.

I was at Bethel as a volunteer worker, having signed a vow of poverty.
Guess what? They made me pay for the air conditioning in my room.
Make no mistake, they couldn't care less if publishers are inconvenienced.

Tammy: You would make a terrible Jehovah's Witness. <----- Compliment.
For the Fundamentalist (which I mentioned in the title of this thread), being asked to fulfill a difficult request is the ultimate test of loyalty. If he or she were to cave in and be disobedient, then all of the previous good works are for nothing.

Sounds like she is happy as a JW. If this is so, she's very unlikely to leave. You can be a good father to her and offer her the unconditional love that he will not find in the organization. You can also be grateful that she doesn't shun you. I'm sorry that she's mixed up with this awful cult.
