  i had an opportunity to see skyfall in the theater yesterday.

  it's almost as good as casino royale, with some parts of it being even better.

  the opening sequence was a real thrill, one of the best.

  the village voice has published an interview with a 32-year member of the church of scientology who left in 2010. .

  but until now, i've never told brousseau's entire story as a 32-year member of scientology and the last person to escape from the international base who is talking publicly about it.. in some ways, brousseau's tale is one of the most remarkable to come out of the secretive organization, and one that parallels so much of scientology's own development and controversies.

  he and miscavige were brothers in law.

  a recent article in the nj jewish standard.

  the boy was 17 years old and he urgently needed an operation.. as a jehovahs witness, however, he would rather die than receive a blood transfusion, believing it to be a transgression of the biblical prohibition against eating blood.

  his parents, also pious members of the religious group, agreed with him.. the doctors of the ucla medical center, however, would not agree to perform a blood-free operation.
