  i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

  i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

  those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

  This talk of infinity reminds me of the many stars and galaxies that man can see with the latest telescopes and such. It staggers the mind and reminds us of how TINY we are.

  My dad used to put it like this:

  "If a frog is on a diving board, and each time he hops he only hops half the distance left, he'll never fall off the diving board."

  Of course, he didn't mean literally, he meant that no matter what the distance left was, you can always divide that distance in half, etc, etc.

  How Can A Religion That Predicts "The End" Every Few Yrs. Maintain Members?

  if your religion cried wolf every new generation and they've been doing that since the 19th century!!!!

  !, how could you possibly believe anything that's said?.

  "the end" was supposed to come actually in 1799, i believe and the same core group still maintain it'll be here.. are jehovah's witnesses that "dumb"?

  Captives of a Concept was the first Apostate book I paid money for! I still remember being a little fearful as I placed my order online. :-)

  Excellent book, singularly focused on one topic, in a very thorough manner. I also enjoyed V's interview with Don Cameron.

  most of the emails i receive to jwfacts.com are from doubting jws wanting to express their appreciation for the information.

  occasionally i receive emails from active jws and although a couple have engaged in intelligent conversation, the following email i received this morning is a very good example of what jws send me.
