i was 38 years in left 7 years i find myself still in the mindset sometimes maybe becouse wife and some family are still in but can you ever fully ''check out and leave"
Karter: I just wanted to encourage you to stay strong. My husband faded 10 years before I did and I know it must have been hard. He was tolerant of my efforts to stay active and indulged me. He only made subtle changes in his life until I was finally ready to join him. I'm sure he got tired of having conversations with me about witness subjects but he had to as I was still involved. I'm just wanting to encourage you that in time your wife may join you in your freedom.

my disfellowshipped dad told me leaving "the truth" had not been good for me as i used too much profanity and liked to drink.
when i first became "free" i guess i went overboard with profanity and enjoyed the freedom to go to bars if i wanted.

Utah: I think we have to be patient. We live in western South Dakota-only 12 miles from Wyoming. I have cast a beacon long and wide out here and I think my wife and I have been the only ones brave enough to step forward. Maybe we need to figure out a plan to have a membership drive to recruit apostates to the less traveled areas such as Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota!

gopher: I'm glad you've enjoyed chickennest. It's been nice to have him get so many of his questions answered and have others listen and relate. It's taken me longer to come around so he has been on his own just biding his time til I've finally come around.
I was raised never to talk to apostates so it's a dangerous way to get your time in. Just suprises me how many witnesses are here.

So I wonder do witnesses visiting this site to see how much time they can count saving themselves?
