You should have grown up in my house! My mother read me experiences (horror stories to a kid like me). About the jw's back then. They were published in what I think was the old yearbooks back in the 70's and 80's. She read them to me daily at breakfast. Right before I was off to school to face the flag salute issue. LOL

i was abused by a handful right from the start, presumably on the basis of the avatar picture (and 2001 vintage).. when visiting dubland, i often find that others start fights with me - for whatever reason, and i provide quite a supply of them - and when it doesn't quite go the way they expected, they cry persecution.

1- we live in a time where the humanity of a child is not determined by science [chromosomes, dna] but by the feelings of the mother.. 2- gender used to be determined by the objective anatomical, psychological, and genetical differences..now based purely on your emotional self.. 3- philosophy used to be a discipline which sought for ultimate truth, arguments were deliberated, calculated, and worldviews challenged.

We live in the only wealthy country without univeral healthcare
We live in the country with the most people in prison
We live in a country that believes in rights of gun owners over the basic right to human life
We live in a country that has denied the rights of so many yet complains when people expect equality
We live in a country that spends over 50% of it's money on weapons of mass destruction
We live in the only country that has ever used atomic bombs on people {we dropped two}
We live in a country where corporations are people, with religious views and rights that even regular folks don't have
We live in a country where people regularly vote against their best intrest because of fear and ignorance

i have never been to a convention quite like this before.
a very friendly vibe all around, lots of banners and posters with sayings like "sending love to all our brothers", "see you in the paradise", "ecuador sends greetings", and "jehovahs-witness.net" (okay, i lied on that last one...).

The TRUTH is that this isn't the first time religious objections by companies has come before the Supremes! In 1964 a man sued to keep blacks out of his restuarant, because god told him too. He lost 8-0! Decades later a company religiously thought only men should work outside the house. They paid women employees less money after being forced to hire some. They lost!!!!
This is another example of the rich and powerful controlling the poor and weak!!!!!!!!!!!
i don't mean you advised them and they changed their lives around, kind of saving a life.. i mean right before your eyes, right now, you had to do something to save a person or they would be dead.. how did it make you feel?

forty years ago i was working on a construction site and a back-hoe had loosened a large boulder.
