Blondie-Mom doesn't know that I am "apostate". I havent' told her and everyday it's a battle to keep my true feelings in. My sister has never been baptised. My sister wants all of the family there. It was the intention to have two showers initially. I was going to have one at my house and my mom would have one at hers. Mom changed her mind and decided she didn't want to have it at her house - she lives in another city about 1 hour from me.

I am having a baby shower for my sister this Saturday. I have invited ALL of the family. Some are 'apostates'(myself included). My mom-the die hard JW is refusing to come. She is very hurt that I have chosen to have these people at the shower. I feel fine with my decision but feel terrible that I have hurt my mom's feelings.

If it wasn't for my mom, whom I love dearly, I would give a big F-U to the WTBS. I try to keep the religious conversations with her to a bare minimum. This baby shower has opened a door that I am not sure that I want to close all of the way. I really want to just tell her that I am done with the whole JW thing. But at the same time, don't want to alienate her. It sucks that I am having to make such a choice. Guess I just wanted to vent my frustrations at the situation but feel free to give me your thoughts.

... and nothing but the truth, please help me prozak..... i'm sure some have noticed how 'cranky' and 'snappy' i have been posting the last couple of days.... i am sorry..... life on my peaceful farm has gone to hell the last week with the noise of constant loud bangs from 'scareguns' that have been placed around our property to keep the ducks off the rice crops..... i have had very little sleep as the noise echos inside my old brick house 24hrs a day!......

so now that i have had my rant, i ask the question.... (in the family guy style).

what grinds your gears????????.

1. People who don't have their coupons or checkbooks ready at the checkout counter.

2. people who talk loudly on their cellphones in public places-restaurants, movie theatre, etc..

3. Parents who don't control their children in restaurants or grocery stores.

Marijuana---Is It That Bad?

i've never smoked tobacco or a joint in my life!

i know some regular pot smokers and they're pretty cool people.

they typically say pot is better than alcohol and that it should be completely legal.

I experimented a little but it wasn't for me. I feel it should be legalized and then taxed. Just like alcohol. I'd much rather be around someone who is high. I don't have a problem with others smoking as long as they are handling their business in life. You know, work, pay bills, be a responsible person, etc...

How is the DA/DF announcement made at the KH?

is there a difference in the announcement when one is disfellowshipped or disassociated?

qe is no longer a jw.

qe has been df'd from the christain congregation.. .

Thanks everyone. A family member had a letter read last night about him at the KH. We were just wondering if you could tell which one it was(DA or DF) by the announcement that was read.
