i have a number of problems with the noah's ark story that i could never find the answer to in the bible and so i thought i could ask here:.
1.how did noah get animals that are indigenous to areas he could not get to (e,g penguins, koalas, kangaroos, moose etc) .
2.the flood supposedly happened around 4000 years ago but there is evidence of civilisation dating back a lot further.
The best...worst thing about the mighty flood is that it didn't even accomplish anything. For all that effort and murder...what did we get?
The really bad people ie..the angels that assumed earthly bodies all escaped LOL??? and how good was Noah's kids they tried to rape him the second they got off the boat

Seems like I remember my mother telling me that at one time the earth was covered by a canopy of water. This created a greenhouse affect and the whole earth was similar in tempertature and climate. During the flood this great water [ceiling] fell to the earth and flooded it. Afterwards the sun beamed directly down on earth causing some areas to be hotter and dry others to be cooler and moist. I don't have a exact scripture but I think I remember something in the bible about a "great water canopy above the earth". Does anyone else remember this?

I remember this prophecy well. I was young and interested in world events. As i got a little older I noticed the, only slightly veiled nationalist overtones implied in those statements. It occured to me how lucky I was to be going door to door in USA! It's a lot easier to preach about the great anglo american dual world power being victorious...if you lived in the anglo american countries. Imagine knockning on someones door, waking them up and saying that.... in Russia or China or practically anywhere else.

Yes the Israelites worshipped more than one god. The scriptures are full of calf worship,the witch 0f endor, the prophets of bael as well as countless other gods adapted from nearby nations. The prophets of Yaweh usually killed off these people.

You can't say that DNA or any other part of humans are to complex to have just appeared or evolved and then turn around and suggest that GOD just appeared. One is no more ridiculous an explanation than the other one. Can both sides admit that much? One thing we absolutely know is that things do evolve or adapt. Some argue that people aren't still evolving but we are. We are bigger stronger faster and live longer than our ancesters were.

Interesting! But to what end? I mean what point is a multi billion $ organazation or making investments with no particular benefactor? My thought is someone must be really enjoying at least a piece of that pie. They will never get another dime from me but I would feel slightly less foolish if they actually use the money for the preaching work
