i found a very interesting / sad thread on a true jw chat site that talked about what to do after armageddon occured.. of the 16 posters only 1 stated concern about the 6 billion people that will die that day.

how sad and selfish is that?

last summer i got mugged.i have been taking kickboxing classes but i am seriously thinking about getting one of these babies.do any of you carry any kind of protection??.

I Know A Lot Of DUMB ELDERS

in over 4 decades, i have gotten to know a number of people in the organization.i have met governing body members, very prominent bethelites, co's and do's.

i also have come to know countless elders.the majority of elders that i have known are not the brightest human beings on the planet.

most thought they knew it all.

However, I've met them, and I guess they really like me. They even said I could come spend the night at their house. I've even met grandparents who are also JWs.

This is a major factor if his parents did not brow beat him when you were not around, to get rid of you.

We both go to UMASS so he's in college and seperated from his family.

Just sending him to UMASS is a big step for any JW family. I know many in that area (Boston)that are sick of the WT rules. He is correct, it is a cult.

If you get bad vibes, RUN, if not enjoy it.

Asking for a meeting with the WT branch elders is a good pr move. They will most likely and arrogantly ignore all requests from Bill Bowen. Now the best thing that could happen is the press harp on them for answers and show the world what a secretive cult the WT really is, when they ignore all requests from the press. The WT pr machine will churn out the usual whitewashed answers (lies). The more of this type of publicity is a good detractor from the WTs supposed devine image.

we heard new light this evening.

a local needs talk was given about how anyone that knows someone might be dating a non- witness and doesn't report it to the elders is actually hindering the free flow of jehovah's holy spirit.

yes, if the "sin" goes unreported, the whole congregation will be affected, just as in the case of achan and his family!

one thing that i've learned within the last couple of years, is that there is power here.

the exposing of the united nations connection was huge.

the pedophile problem in the organization is known because certain people got out and did something about it.

if a person has found out that their relatives can't talk to them and they sadly bring out that they are crushed because the Society changes or reinforces a rule again,they should simply"decide who's life will be wasted"?

I'm not getting into feelings of sorrow or loss in my statements in the answer to you, just stating facts. Timing and waste of ones life is up to the individual to decide. Comfort to a person is not "simple" as you state, and that is not my premise here, you brought it up.
