  Loosing my fiancee'

  i am 27 year old non jw female, and my fiancee is a non-practicing jw.

  his mother is very devout, and they are very close.

  we live together, and he did tell me early on that he was jw, but at the time i only knew they did not celibrate any holidays, not the stuff about blood, voting, disfellowship, etc.

  Welcome and sorry for your dilemma. It sounds like your boyfriend has been reactivated in his cult thinking, cognitive dissonance kicks in and they try to be stronger than ever. He may have even talked to the local or some elders and they will drill this into his head: you are, "worldly and will be the cause of his death by god". Yes you are not worthy of consideration as to your feelings you are considered as a potential recruit and if you decline you are worldly scum and will be killed by the WT god. So in his mind he is wasting his time on a living corpse.

  When you say "turn to our lord Jehovah" do you mean rejoin the WT ?

  The wording you use is not quite Dub speak if you know what I mean, they usually use the terms: Jehovah God , or God Jehovah, would you agree?

  Just so you know I thank you for the offer, but I would rather step in front of a speeding locomotive than to return to a high controlling group such as the JW's

  having read some of the posts in the military tribunal thread make me wonder about the perspective of the american population in general.

  it seems to be more egocentric then ever.

  the understandable outrage and indignation caused by the despicable and horrible acts on 9/11 seem to have caused little or no global perspective.

  i dont go to meetings anymore!

  .....big breakthrough for me !.

  i have tryed the slow fade but that just seems to make my wife think that i am going to go to every meeting......so i have decided to go cold turkey , and it is hard .

  After resigning as an elder I went to two more meetings then the last memorial I'll ever go to.
  For me that was a slow fade. It's been a year now and the control they have is still felt ,in my case, only because of some friends, also on their way out that I would like to stay in contact with. My ex wife did that to me years ago, left the org. cold turkey, it was difficult for me. As I think back now, she was smarter than I gave her credit for. And yes you are missing something, many things out there that are not controlled by Satan as the WT claims. A whole new world, if you look for the good things out there you will find them.

  Can't you just picture some wormy little dub writer shit dreaming this bull crap up? Then the enforcement El-Queda network (elders) having a field day with their new found ,although false, sense of authority forming tribunals.
