Greetings everyone

hello everybody, i studied with the jehovah's about 10 years ago, was never baptized, never a publisher, never really did anything, went to a few of the watchtime meetings.

my purpose at the time was a study on comparative religion, which i eventually became a student of in full practice.

of all the organizations i met with, the witnesses were the most friendly at first, welcoming me to ask many questions about the bible.

Well, in my website, I have explained that the ancient Japan's name "Yamato" means "Yahweh's people" in Hebrew.
And I have pointed out that if you write the word "Japan" in Hebrew/Japanese, the Divine Name (YHW) appears there.

Well, although I think that the video and topic which you introduced are interesting, I guess that that is one of the legends, IMO.

Interestingly, in Japan, there is a legend that Jesus visited Japan.

You ignored that what I said "I think that Jesus was not a Buddhist."
And you ignored that that I showed a resemblance not to Buddhism, but to yoga/Hinduism.

And, since you criticize without asking me, you do not know that I am a person who interprets the Scriptures symbolically and figuratively, either.
Therefore, ultimately, it is not important for me whether Jesus was a historical person.

For me, "Jesus" means the "true self", that is the "I AM."
That is, it is expressed as "parama-aatman" in Sanskrit.
And, Mahayana Buddhists named that part in our inside as a "Buddha/Buddhahood."

Also, regarding the whole India idea, and "ego eimi" is simply Greek language. I don't see how one can equate this with having something to do with India.

I feel that if we are obstinate like you, probably, we cannot develop this topic at all.

First of all, Greek is one of the "Indo-European languages."

we have just come back from our second visit to the baptist church.

again, it was fabulous.

since being disfellowshipped, i have only wanted two things: a place to be accepted and a place where i can have good upbuilding bible instruction and discussion.

Well, although I do not think that Jesus was a Buddhist (especially, Hinayana), I think that possibly he studied the ideas in India, IMO.
The word "Ego eimi" ("I AM", "I am He", John 18:6 etc) which Jesus used many times is an idea in India clearly.
That is, this is the same as the meaning of the "SoHam" used by meditation of yoga.

Ramana Maharshi, who is one of the famous saints in India, has said like this.

'I am' is the name of God.
Of all the definitions of God, none is so well put as the biblical statement 'I am that I am' in Exodus chapter three.
There are other statements such as brahmavaiham [Brahman am I], aham brahmasmi [I am Brahman] and soham [I am He].
But none is so direct as Jehovah [which means] 'I am'.

Well, if you investigate Buddhism, you will understand that they taught "Non-Ego" (self-effacement, selflessness).
To put it simply, they/Buddhists denied the "SoHam."

After they became "Mahayana Buddhism", they began to have an idea like the "SoHam."
