  Deepest sympathies to all ex-JWs who've been hurt by the 'WORLD'

  this topic is in sympathy for all jehovah's witnesses visiting this site who have had bad experiences after they left the jws and went out into the world.

  i've heard many ex-jehovah's witnesses saying, "well, i went into the world and found nothing but trouble!!

  Do They Tell You Where to Sit, Too?

  i was just reading a thread where someone was "seated" next to the same people year after year at memorial.. is this "seating" only done at memorial?.

  are you allowed to have a preference to seat yourself?.

  is there an unspoken mandatory seating arrangement?.

  It just depends on how early you get there. Get there early enough and you can sit anywhere, latter and they seat you. My deleted elder husband because he stood up to a pedophile in the hall and would not let the pedo hit him wanted to get there late, I knew I would be stuck in the back with even more nut case then ever so made him get there early at least we could choose our seats.

  Gave my wife something else to feel guilty about

  as most of you know my wife was feeling guilty about our pre-marital hanky panky so she got the elders involved and now i guess feels better about it all, yadda yadda yadda.. so now i've opened a previously closed door in our marriage- something i had done in the past with "worldly" girls i dated- but not her.. let's just say it's frowned upon in wt-land but for some reason she's been following me around like a puppy lately.

  and she reciprocates.. wonder if she'll be too embarrassed to confess this one.

  The elders won't report it to the cops if it happens to a child but they would probably rat you out.

  Amen to that one. We have two pedophiles in our hall they hold children and all of it that. The Elders think it is just great look the pedo is helping the mom's they need help that is what I am told. But boy if you have oral sex OH MY GOD!!! they'ed DF you in a New York minute.

  And for those of you out there that say call the police and do this and that what do you think I have not done that!!!!!! Yeh I have called the police, talkd to the CO written to Bethel, you name it I have done it and has it done a damn thing. NO!!! The elders lie. All the publisher are convinced that I am the nut case. Oh is't it so great brother pervert just looooves kids so much and elder sicko thinks he is the greatest. We have such a great religion, yah no peodophiles here.

  MEMORIAL SHOCK!!!!--- Part 2

  a few days ago i started a thread about a "brother" who is climbing jw corporate ladder in the speed of lightning...he was only baptised recently, but already "anointed" and therefore partaking..... well, at this year's memorial we were subjected to an emotional showoff...his wife cried her lungs out as he partook....apparently she is upset at the fact that they won't be together in the new system, because he will be in heaven and she will be on earth!!!.

  a lot of people in our cong were also touched and almost half of them were in tears....i have to say that it looked so convincing that even the worldlies will think that this is the truth....

  I hate to attmit it now, but I loved it. I thougt that we had the truth and that everyone needed to hear it. After learning the truth about the truth how stupid was I. Yeh do you want to come to the Kingdom Hall and maybe have a pedophile hug your kids. Yeh we have two in our hall, but no one knows nor am I allowed to tell after all they have been cured by Holly Sprit. How can you invite someone to come to that. The pedophile are the most out going would't you know it. I think the elders love that too that way they do not have to meet the new ones let pedo's do it for them. It makes me sick. vs77

  The idiocy of accepting new people to the KH with no background checks!

  just recently before the book study was cancelled, a young man started coming into my mom's home for the same.

  she was alarmed and asked the elders, to please have him go to the kh for the study.

  they ignored her worries and he continued to attend at her home.

  I know in my hall they do not in any way shape or form to know the background of someone new. We had a pedophile move in that I knew for a fact was a ture pedophile. Boy did I get HELL for knowing that. I went and got his court records and if I thought I was in HELL before it was nothing compared to what I went through after I got the records. I was dumb enough when I got them that I thought the elders would believe me. No they just got really made. Said they did not want to know this pedophiles past. Did not want to know he was even a pedophile and the hall he came from did not tell the elders either. They just want to know someone from the day the come into the hall they do not want to know anything else about a person. It truly was the eye opener I needed to know that this is not the truth.

  Has anyone lost a friend or known of someone who committed suicide over BORG-induced guilt?

  i am not going to use any names for this because i don't want to cause potential hurt to anyone.. there was a very nice family in my congregation when i was a teenager.

  step-dad, mom, and her 4 kids.

  the dad became an elder, had a great business, the mom spent lots of time with the kids.

  I think that a lot of JW's think of suicide but do not talk about it. I have never done anything at all wrong but I have been called in the back room and ripped into many times for things I have not done just because of petty gossip that the stupid elders truly believed. This happened especally when I was young. One time the elders just knew I was smoking and they would not let it go. I never smoked never wanted to and this really offened me but the elders drug me in the back room many times. The last time they were so rude. Pointing their fingers at me telling me I was lying. I was so hurt, till this day I know they never believed me. I still wonder why??? I have still never smoked.

  Yes I have thought of suicide especally when you truly believebecasue the elders are so not kind. I came from abuive parents who put me down and the elder took over where they left off. You are never good enough do enough. It truly makes you feel like scum.

  I am on the way out and right now it is hell. So I can clearly see why suicide would seem like the only way out to many.

  As a JW Did you Feel you Could Fully Trust the Elders ?

  i know for many of the 44 years i was in the jw cult from birth - i felt i could.

  or should i say i was conditioned to feel that " i should " trust the elders.

  as jehovah's witnesses we were all told the elders were " crags in a waterless country " who would be a " spiritual stronghold " for us.

  I found out, you have no defense, they make you second guess yourself, because they have the uncanny talent of always turning it on you. They have it in there heads, they don't answer to you.....you answer to them. So it is always a lose....lose situation.

  That is so true. I do not and will never trust an elder again. They turn it on you in a heart beat and make you feel like you are in the wrong. I was even told by the CO in November not to even read the WT and Awake on child abuse but to just think happy thoughts about my past abuse and trust the elders to handle the pedophiles in our hall with Jehovah's help. Yeh right trust the elders. What a joke!!!
