  on may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.

  he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.

  Besty said why don;t they have information on their homepage - that way everyone could go there for regular updates and would cut the number of calls down.

  Good point. But than again that would be a loving thing to do. Like when my husband had a serious heart attack at the meeting and the elders let me drive him to the hospital. So when have they ever done a loving thing.

  In the true religion would you not expect that they would keep their members informed. Like when Hinkly died in the Mormon Church that made world news. Is that not what you should expect in the true religion. Oh wait this is not the true religion is it! I forgot.

  Thanks Barbara for everything and all the time you have taken to keep us up to speed. As far as the class action law suit I agree with Mary, but there are in some ways two different ways to look at this one the shunning part and then the child abuse part. I would love to see a law suit go through on either one of them. They both are just so horrible. More people need to stand up to the cruelty of what the WT has put us victims through.   the way the jehovah's witnesses treat us is so bizarre - you couldn't make this stuff up !

  have i ever had two weeks from jw hell.

  so i parked at the bank and as i was getting out of my truck my jw's daughter's mother in law ( also jw ) was walking to her truck.

  I am sorry it does hurt. This past week-end I was shunned by an older elder in my hall. I was at a coffee shop sitting outside and it was right after the meeting let out. He walks really slow because he is so old. Well I looked up and he saw me it was kind of like the deer in the head light look, he turned on a dime and shuffled off in the opposite direction. Yeah it hurt. All I have done is not go to the meetings for ten weeks. I am no DF'ed but you know how Love is the Identifying mark of the true religion. I am still a sheep I thought but then again I do not agree with pedophiles so there you go. That is why I stopped going to the meetings and well you know how the elders feel about child rapest. We never want to make a child rapest ever feel bad.

  i have a question.

  why dose it take two witnesses if a child says someone molested them.. but with oral sex it only takes the one spouse to get the other mate in trouble.

  why the difference.

  No More Work on Saturdays at Bethels Worldwide

  a letter was read at tonight's meeting announcing that the governing body has decided to stop work on saturdays at all bethels worldwide.

  bethel workers are encouraged to now spend saturdays with their local congregation in field service.

  the new arrangement goes into effect june, 2009.. what do you think are the motives for such a change?.

  When I was a Bethel being a sister under the age of 30 I had to work two Saturdays a month. I was so stupid. None of the other sisters worked any. I mean it. All the sisters I worked with never came in. Our overseer was older and did not have to work any Saturdays that I can recall. The only time one of the sisters would come in on a Saturday was when our overseer was there on the rare Saturday. I was so stupid and I never missed one of my work days. I felt I was serving Jehovah not man and if Jehovah said to work than I was going to work. I could have blown them off so easy but I was stupid. vs77

  I am so sorry Big Tex when you said

  In my case, I WAS able to produce 2 eyewitnesses but they were rejected because (1) they witnessed separate rapes; and (2) they were worldly and we all know how worldly people lie.

  As far as I know one of my rapists is still a ministerial servant in good standing. The other 3 are dead.

  I am going through about the same thing right now in my hall. It is a living nightmare. I am just in shock at how the elders are handing this. I even wrote them letters because they refuse to talk with me and I just got two sent back return to sender. The elders totally refuse to see any problem. I have been called a lier to my face. How can they say that to me? One elder told me that the pedophile would never lie to an elder then he turned right around and called me a liar.

  I was told by one elder that pedophiles can and will hold children as long as they are helping the moms. He told me that I was a gossip and was causing divisions in the hall by letting parents know. No one can know who a pedophile is. It truly makes me bitter. vs77

  How did you REALLY feel when you where out in field service?

  i never felt comfortable knocking on door and i hoped no one would be home.

  my presentation was short and to the point because i did not want to get into discussions.

  as we walked from "door to door" i secretly wished i could be like all the ones i saw in the nighborhood.

  JW's have time stolen from them by the society. You are told the knocking on doors is a very important work. In fact, it is life saving. I never felt that way. It just made me depressed,anxious and edventually angry.

  I hated it, never did feel good doing it but I also thought that it was the right thing to do and that it did mean their lives. I look back right now with peer bitterness. I am so hurt it is unreal. They lied to us to get us to make money for them is all I can see right now.

  They defently stole from us by taking away our life.
