  Even tho these "Governing Body" members have been "sealed" WITH A "FIRST" SEALING, , they don't get approved until they die a loyal death. Then there is the second

  sealing, by that time -according to current lore, they are supposed to be in heaven. If you are a mediator, are you not one who speaks on behalf

  of someone as to their loyalties too? Like a lawyer? Bringing two sides together like the union and the workers? Isn't that the majority of

  mankind since Jesus gave his life for THE WORLD OF MANKIND! Didn't Jesus say, "if you have faith and call on my name" ?? You can see today how

  difficult this will become as laws and governments crack down on religion more and more - so they ( 144,000) will have their work cut out for

  them if indeed this is a literal number as opposed to the great crowd as the sands of the sea. There are a lot of good people out there and Jesus is the judge of all.

  I have trouble with their interpretation of the New Covenant format as per the society.

  Old time JW's did some very devout JW's refuse to eat pizza with pepperroni because they believed "blood" was in the pepperroni?

  i have never heard this before until i read a life story of an ex-jws and how some jws in the past refused to eat pepperoni pizza because they thought blood was in pepperoni.

  i do know some elderly jw sisters would complain about eating steak if it bled while cooking.

  has anybody else heard of this pizza nonsense?.

  I concur with Mouthy -- Dairy Queen - used to hit there every thurs nite after BS... they were good until it was a no no and later, one of the brothers worked for them and checked and it was not correct.. so back we went to eating them again.. Blood puddings in this part of the world - supposed to be famous - down the South Shore way... but just the word turned me off..

  Mostly the Jewish brands were // are kosher, so they were//are eaten... the rabbi has to bless the operation and in so doing, no by products or blood is allowed... that is usually a safe bet and now their products are flagged by the word Kosher or OV, I think it is.. wonder what the society thinks of eating that food that is blessed by the rabbi? Well, we are not allowed to ask questions now, so I guess I will never know..

  We have Bulk Barns here and you can see on the labels what items are kosher..

  There was a local producer of meats, pepperoni, salami etc. and they used to put a ton of blood in their product. One of their wives was driving it to the plant and it spilled in her car, and was a terrible mess to clean up. Even if not a witness, I would not have eaten that stuff just because of the blood puddings..... I never was a lover of processed meats..

  just finished our 2 day and one of the talks by the do indicated that single sisters in the congregation are to be subservient to all male brothers in the hall..as well a widow too is of the same "status".

  is this a new thought or just now an open secret?.

  personally, i dont think that is good - after all there are many elders who although, supposedly appointed by hs, can be personally involved with porn behind closed doors or nasty with his wife and family.. i personally know of two like that .... why should i listen to a "stranger" about my life?

  Really appreciate all the responses, thanks so much - I am cautious when dealing with brothers of course, when you in you're always alert to what can happen and if it doesn't rattle me, I smile and go along with it , otherwise I make myself scarce... I am very independent and cannot abide slavery, yet here I am...kick me!

  If a scripture can be shown that Jehovah God "changes" his mind then are we to believe anything he says in the bible?

  i have always been taught that jehovah god never changes his mind and he always carries out what he predicts.

  then a friend of mine who is atheist showed me a scripture in the bible that caught me totally off guard.

  it is in the book of jeremiah.

  Abraham was encouraging Jehovah to not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah when he started out with " if I can find 50 who are righteous" and Jehovah said Ok, If I find 50 righteous I will not destroy the city, could not find them, so Ab went all the way down to ten, back and forth with God - we know that Jehovah is a reader of hearts and that Abrahams pleas were in vain, but God let Abraham go on , so that is the kind of God you would want to bargain with I would say.. at least he gave Ab a chance to question Him. A lot of bosses would not.Gen 18:23-32

  i make no claim that this strange article is telling the truth...... but it does seem to tie together a whole lot of current fringe ideas in one neat package.

  it's the wildest ride i've read in a long time (and i read a lot of weird stuff).. and you thought the election was scary!.

  Would that not be a relative subjection ?? As I mentioned its all in the delivery. If the elder is one I respect, I would not have a problem with it but two I'm afraid would cause me pain to deal with them so I skirt them... others I can kid with and enjoy working with them... I had a great respect for my hubby and we had a great marriage til he died. My hubby did not pull the headship card on me, yet we respected each other enough that no problems existed on this point. I feel that since he is gone I now use the reasoning that Jesus and Jehovah are my head as the society often says the elders are imperfect men and they way things are going, who knows what is going on in their hearts. I don't know them enough to allow them into my thoughts and life..funny, isnt it? We are all supposed to be a big, happy family and those whom I do associate with are, yet we all pick and choose those whom we feel comfortable with and I am no exception. Believe me, I have no problem in many things but as you know, some things said off the platform by a CO or DO is "God giving direction", yet I feel that Jesus was not that much of a separatist, others feel the GB can do no wrong and the words spoken off the platform are golden. I used to have that thinking before, now I don't and thats what makes this an issue for so many singles.... and single parents... we are invisible and pick up the negatives, no matter what source it comes from spiritually. We had a great laugh over it when we all went to dinner after the assembly. Especially the apron....

  I think we are becoming muslims, the male children will be well indocrinated as to how to treat women........next it will be a veil and sharia ...

  Thanks much, I do love the scriptures but doing this with joy and not sighing as overlords just does not happen. Very few shepherding call made.
