I have never heard this before until I read a life story of an ex-jws and how some jws in the past refused to eat pepperoni pizza because they thought blood was in pepperoni. I do know some elderly jw sisters would complain about eating steak if it bled while cooking. Has anybody else heard of this pizza nonsense?
Old time JW's did some very devout JW's refuse to eat pizza with pepperroni because they believed "blood" was in the pepperroni?

100 percent absolutely, darling. ;) I was around in the good old 'peperoni from satan' era. It was true. :)
No, not crazy. Not crazy at all.
NOpe, normal.

I think it is likely. There was an unoffical ban of Bovril crisps in our area.
(Too tired to translate Bovril crisps)
3p - those were the days!

In Canada they put 'animal by-products' in cheaper brands of meat. That could include blood, noses, hooves, what have you...
If you ask me (and most don't) the only people who should eat that shit is self-righteous janitors, window-cleaners, and Saturday wake you in the morning assholes. Oh wait, that's Jobie Nitwits! :D

Yup. I remember my mom writing to Kal-Kan to verify whether or not our dog's food contained any blood in the meat by-products.

It was common in Canada. (60's 70's) I remember them questioning balogna, weiners, sausage etc if the might have "by-products" (blood) in them.
No Pepperroni..No Hot Dogs..No Licorice!..
Hey Outlaw.. I remember the Licorice bull shit too. Forget what was in it that could be blood related. Now it's bugging me.
They even said some some kind of flours might be "fortified" with a blood fraction...Lucky blood fractions are allowed today..
This might have been a local thing (B.C.) but "some" were even questioning if they should eat McDonalds hamburgers since they could not be sure if the meat was bled properly.
A bizarre cult indeed....
