  Whatever happened to "YOU'RE WELCOME"? Has "NO PROBLEM" replaced it?

  wherever i go, i say "thank you" to clerks, servers, delivery people, hosts and hostesses and the response has become invariable: "no problem!".

  have i aged to the point i'm now an old fuddy duddy who doesn't "get it"?.

  is it counted mannerly to avoid, "you're welcome" in favor of "no problem"?.

  sister faithful that thinks she's anointed is now bat shit crazy with mental illness.

  we all have known it's true, but now you have the wt, who put it in everyone's head that you can be anointed.

  How can all the 144,000 be men and some women chosen from the earth to be a bride of Christ? Are all of them changed to women for the marriage to take place, cause Jesus is a male ? Why is the word "marriage" used?

  You can be one in spirit and all be in agreement as to what control over the earth they may have, but to use the word marriage and Jesus being a male, what does that really mean-- when marriage is between a man and a woman?

  Did anyone note the three lovely halls that were built from our funds... small to say the least -- three!! I was so captivated by them I forgot where they were built....

  I could not believe they would crow about that.... and the poor folks up north with the wind, were not standing in front of any hall... just frigid weather....

  Paladin1 90 minutes -- we had two a half hours!! How did you get away with that?? LOLO

  That pep talk probably was to ensure more money was given by the pubs in attendance -- -- that's what it is all about anyway.... and they did mention a scripture twice with tithing in it -- what does that mean?? Is that the next big thing o & A what the pubs are already pressed into giving from the hall funds??

  Animals were created without needing Toilet Paper ... but not Man ... Why???

  my dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.

  any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?

  was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

  Anyone hear of "Rings of Fire" without doing the clean thing.. its a necessary evil... and don't forget mama said to wash your hands

  That little hole is tucked between two globes of fat tissue and creates heat and moisture, dogs and cats and animals don't have that.. seeing the guys seem to like the Kardashian look, it stands to reason, we need to wipe!

  How did you feel when they eliminated the Con. Book Study?

  it was my favorite meeting by far.

  mainly because it was a small group.

  few of your are old enough to have been there, i suspect.

  i had been in prison two years as a jw conscientious objector when the exciting news about 1975 spread like wildfire.. .

  i was paroled from prison in 1969 and immediately began pioneering.

  I remember it also -- heard it many times, some folks gave up lucrative businesses to pioneer, other sold homes and furniture, then had to start all over a again at later age.. yet the society denied they said or inferred anything.

  We were called 75 ers -- bristled at that name -- it was in the KM, it was spoken of on stage by elders, it was talked about in congregations -- end of the 6,000 years -- everything is gone, get ready, so as I was newly baptized, I swallowed it, along with my born in mate -- well, it came and went, we got fulltime jobs, jobs that paid a pension, we added to that pension weekly -- and here we are today.... at least we have a paid for home, a new car in the yard, food and clothing and a nice yard..... I guess that's all you can ask for in this world of stress today

  That was my first inkiling something was terribly wrong, but went along anyway.... friends, family, didn't

  seem to bother them - just another new light adjustment.... and on it goes

  ok so i send my father a letter telling him several reasons i do not believe the witnesses are jehovah's organization.i also told my father at the end of the letter that i was setting some boundaries once and for all.

  that i would not be emotionally blackmailed or verbally abused anymore that if he wanted to talk to me as a father then i welcome that and if he can't do that then i do not wish to comunicate with him.

  i sent it about a week ago and was waiting for all hell to break loose but nothing happend.

  There is another elephant in the room and that is the child abuse cases that are rearing their ugly heads and they are NOT MEDIA reports, they are actual court reports that are being placed on the internet for all the world to see -- look at the Australian Royal Commission - just within the past few months -- where a GB member -Jackson-actually lied or evaded questioning.... now there are over 1000 perverts they found were not reported to authorities, and the UK is now setting up their own Royal Commission to investigate not only JW's but the RC Church and other religions who deal with children and have either hidden or destroyed intimidating paperwork. .... the rank and file of JW's have no clue their money is being spent as hush money -- initially there were 16 cases settled out of court several years ago with purported $750,000 paid to each.....look up Candace Conti court report and news... jury gave her $28 million but it is now down to less than that but the JW's were still found GUILTY. There are many -... sorry to break your bubble but prepare yourself for more lawsuits against the society

  Your feelings for the former travelling overseers

  during our wt life we met a good number of friends involved in the circuit and district work.

  i am sure that we share the same experience and that we remember fondly some that we caring, loving and generally interested in the brothers.

  at the same time we might remember others that were arrogant, selfish, abusive and oppressive.

  Gone were the days that CO/DO's had to eke out a living -- stayed in homes, worked hard in service, eating at a different home and sleeping in different beds, accepting little monies from the folks who had little, Wives who for the sake of the word, put up with all the changes - men accommodate these changes far better than a woman....

  Today we see, arrogance, company boys, hardliners, youthful , toeing the party line, speaking with the same monotone voice as those at bethel, driving new cars, charging back congregations, insurance plans, apartments in KH or one just having at $250,000.00 apt addition to the hall - looks like something out of a Better Homes book

  And with the green handshakes, many have more money in the bank that most poor publishers, along with some rental apartments for their pension years.... tell me about it!!!

  Un-****ing-Believable

  just a few observations from this morning.

  .. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

  we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

  Oh wait-- did you pick up the well meaning sister who counseled a mother of a son who was somewhat wayward?????

  Laid it on the SINGLE mother that SHE FAILED at child training!!! I could just hear myself listening to that and tearing her face off..... how dare she..........a well meaning sister!!! Not on your life... that was a terrible callous remark meant to hurt a single mother who probably has to work her a... off to keep the kid in clothes, food , etc. and take crap from him at the same time

  Disgusting example of how the sister treated the single mom .
