  Going Clear- Scientology- Movie made this year

  on tonight -- many of the leaders and co horts of david miscavidge on tonight who have left the organization.. it is scary how close they are to the jw's with the exception of the volcano episode and that we are "thetans",.... they hold out a carrot for each level of progression on the "ladder" - to immortality, telling all they will live forever in a peaceful, beautiful world- and of course, each step on the ladder means thousands of dollars and volunteers make 30 cents a day working on all their projects.

  they fought for tax exemption as a religious organization, started by hubbard, who at level 8- the highest on the ladder - tells his thetans they are out of a spaced out world -- it is terrifying -- and they are supposed to be able to read minds, levitate things, others in the org are scared of them.... but the org are buying properties all over the world as a benefit for their thetahs" to show their good works.to the irs - building a massive real estate empire with publishing and volunteer labour...... watch it if you can.... .

  and another thing, they cut you off from friends and family who are "suppressive" -- and if you leave, they leave their family and friends with the org and many do not come out of it...

  Then all the wrongs and issues they have revealed through the "clear" (lie dectector) when they join and always thereafter have to be checked to see they are still loyal, is held against them -- piles of paperwork on every person and they are reported to their leaders if it is thought they may be becoming suppressive themselves ( doubting/ apostasizing, etc).... sent to a restorative centre where they work for minimum food, little sleep, -=- all deprived causing them to feel they are not worthy.... low self esteem!!

  Rivalry among the sisters

  when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

  i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

  i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

  If you are single, then you are independent, and married women have a reason to be jealous -- or think they do.. after all, your a working gal, making money, not answering to a spiritual head who may or may not keep you in line... (sarcasm).. you have a lot going for you -- that they don't -- so don't look for close relationships unless it is with the older folk or single females... hey -- they don't even include singles in their prayers!!

  I purchase what I want when I want, and if someone has something to say, I agree with them, shuts them up mostly.... always with a smile on your face...

  Does Jehovah Intervene - JW Teaching

  i have been a jw my whole life and i have never been able to get a clear answer on this question.

  jw's do not believe that jehovah will intervene if someone is sick, dying or stopping a car crash.

  they feel that jehovah is letting "this world" play out before he solves all of these problems.

  We heard a story of how the Warwick property was purchased from a brother and sister just by luck one morning as they were just "thinking" of selling..... It had to be next to the whole parcel of land that was condemned and had massive contamination issues still ongoing........

  Jehovah was given the credit.

  do you remember when the yearbook was released?

  I know that most do not take a close look at the report... I like number crunching too and there is a lot of room for discrepancies that the pubs don't get.... I love to call issues to the fore, the society only gives the good reports on various countries and indicate increases to offset the obvious.

  As you cant be negative in the hall -- I will tell any who listen as to what the real story is, but it falls on deaf ears.

  The society has said it is doing God's work and therein lies the problem - they bring God into the picture and then they can do anything they want without question.

  You wonder why Germany did what it did in the camps under Hitler???? the WTSociety is the same - people are under a spell.... it cannot easily be broken.

  That's the scam... Buy 2 large screen tvs - send the old one to a place in Africa -- I wont name it in case this hall is the only one sending it there... the new set up will cost several thousand dollars.

  If You Dont Disassociate Yourself, Are you Still Counted in Average Publishers on Annual Report?

  for all the newbies and angry ones of the forum and other forums, is it beneficial to show your stand to indicate that numbers are dropping in the org rather than increasing?

  this is to those who are in a position to do so.

  i know many cannot due to family members in the org.

  Relatives who work in Warwick are visiting

  so i have some relatives who work in warwick visiting us this week.

  the visit has been largely drama free.

  they came between meeting days, so the subject of going to the meetings never came up.. however, they have been talking about the "downsizing.".

  When 75 came and went, we decided its time to start putting funds away for our later years, we got two good jobs with pension plans and had xtra monies placed in the plan over and above what was being deducted.

  I, at that, time was the driving force behind this as my mate had been brought up in the truth and saw no need to do this.. so here we are, 40 years later......

  Its so sad, that using God to fund their real estate and publishing empire, surely He has to be angry....

  Sorry Cappytan but it is the way you said it--- "he says............ and I just took it as though your relatives was the one indicating the message. You did not mention the WTS in your message. All you say was "they need to..." from your relative.

  It's good they are empathetic - we have some bethelites coming here and they have nothing and are in their 60's....
