  I live in West Virginia, which I consider south. I'm originally from upstate New York. I am told by some in my family that I have picked up some of the southern accent. They could be right. But people down here consider me a Yankee still.

  I'm white, but love the blues. I once was told by a mexican in Pennsylvania that I was the whitest person he ever met. I don't know if he was talking about my complexion or my charactor.

  i was wondering what attracts a lurker/n00b to post for the first time.

  i made my first post in someone else's thread eschewing the "hi, i'm new" thing.. for anyone, particularly the lurkers/noobies:.

  I don't want to bash the witnesses at all and so far since I have been on this site, I don't really see bashing, just facts.

  Oh, some serious bashing does go on. The facts don't always add up to facts. Be careful what you read, my friend.

  I never was a lurker. I joined this forum over a year ago because of the Freeminds Website. I left it shortly thereafter because I didn't care for all of the bashing that was going on. I recently signed back up under a different user name for reasons unknown to me. Maybe I had some bashing of my own to do.

  I was raised a Witness. Some people here don't know what they're talking about. Watch out for them. Half of the time I don't either, so watch out for me to.:-)

  around three years ago my wife started to invite the mormon missionaries in, and have discussions with them.

  this went on for several months, then the get together s started to be 2-3 times a week.

  i would work late because i wanted .

  The Mormons believe that Native Americans are decendents of a tribe of Israel. That is absurd.

  John Smith wrote the Book of Mormon in the 1800's as a new Bible. He didn't write it, as much as he "dictated" it while looking into a hat, in a dark room, while his assistant wrote it down. No one else could read the tablets but him. The people that swore they saw the tablets don't have any credibility. Where are they?

  The whole story in the book of Mormon is ridiculous. John Smith was killed early on and became a Martyr for this new "religion". They were ran out of every town because of their ridiculous beliefs, and settled in the Northwest Territory now known as Utah. They are guilty of slaughtering a group of people that were passing through in a wagon train. There was a movie made about it last year. I think it was called "September Dawn".

  The movie could be wrong about the massacre being Mormon lead. I doubt it. But their crazy beliefs should be easily proven false. The massacre being only added proof that they are a cult.

  I agree that the media is grabbing at whatever they can. But I have seen cartoons with Obama and his wife depicted as Terrorists in Middle Eastern dress and his wife carrying a gun. It is ridiculous, and this cartoon is insulting to me too. All of it states that Obama is Muslim, which he isn't. That was a lie that has been spread arround for a long time. I thought it was over. Sharing cartoons that lie and depict our next president as being Muslim is naieve and stupid. Obama will be the next president. You, can lick my balls.

  I would like to live in a society where stereotypes don't exist. Snowbird has been seen going down on my..... She has propagated rumors and spread shit. Snowbird should be a farmer. She spreads shit to support her ideals and her crop. Her crop is racist and biast by nature and I wish it would die. Snowbird should choke on her own shit. That is what she spews.

  just wondering what the most unusual or flippant reasons are for people being booted from the cong.

  i know the org makes out that almost everyone who is ousted is guilty of fornication but they're hardly going to say that people are leaving coz of all the lies, deceit and propoganda they spin!

  if your "crime" was apostacy, what exactly happened?

  I progressed up the ladder and gained a position in the congo. The closer I got to the centre of what was going on the more I realised it was wrong so I became an apostate.

  I figured out it was wrong before I "held any authority". You never got close to the center, you don't have even close to what you think. I would guess you were a MS at best and probably ran Mikes back and forth.
