  Watchtower= Poor kid donates his only pig to Society what about you? W.T.F!

  watchtower nov 1 2007 p.17 {1889} "zions watchtower has jehovah for it's backer and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support.".

  "mexico... manuel says, my grandmother gave me a mother pig.....iam sending as a donation what i recieved from selling the pig.....$110 dollars..." {now i ask you couldn't manuel have used that $110 bucks for himself?}.

  "14 year old girl from cameroon {another poor country where people can't afford food}....school supplies, i sold two of last years text books $5 dollars i am contributing this plus an aditional $1.82 from my savings...." {this is very sub-liminal, poor kids are donating so how much will you rich folks give?}.

  I havent been to a meeting in 2 years. when i was attending, i never donated anything -- i never had enough money to, and had no problem with that.
  
  Fact is, it still is a "communal" effort.
  
  the people give to the org, and the org distributes literature, and builds kingdom halls...
  
  if anyone has any financial statements to the opposite, i wouldnt mind seeing it. However, i think its basically biblical example that his followers gave willingly to support the arrangment at the time.
  
  your comments that just because it wasnt mentioned anymore -- doesnt make much sense. Just because it wasnt mentioned doesnt mean it didnt exist in some form, not to mention that you are making alot of interpolations here.

  Why do many JWs neglect their health conditions?

  my former bible study conductor has heart problems and very high blood pressure, but doesn't seem concerned about it.

  another witness i knew had heart problems but never went to doctors, & eventually dropped dead suddenly.

  given that cigarette smoking is a disfellowshipping offense, why aren't jws reprimanded when they otherwise neglect & jeopardize their health?

  Labeling people "worldly"

  by using the label "worldly" the wt shortchanges people.

  the same people it quotes as authorities in its magazines can also be easily dismissed if their opinion disagrees with the wt viewpoint by simply stating that after all, those persons are "worldly".

  but those who use this term also shortchange themselves.

  we were told long ago not to label people as "worldly" or "worldlings" and to only use worldly to define actions, etc.
  
  and btw, JWs arent the originator of the term "Worldly" to describe a type of people -- look in a dictionary sometime :)
