i was wondering what attracts a lurker/n00b to post for the first time.

ok, so i have been thinking about my time as a jw (i'm fading out - read my other posts for background info).

you know how you always hear how the ministry will bring so much joy and contentment, yadda yadda yadda?

i always hated service...always!!

Totally agree.

Everyone does play along, every so often the act falls and people get all down.

But never fall into the trap of murmuring!

SO glad ive not gone on ministry recently.

Last time i went out.. my presentation was "hi, my names *&@£ would you like a bible study?" hand them a track. Pretty much guarenteed leave the door within seconds. If they unsure i just give them a tract and tell them to think about it.

LoL the joy was overwhelming, especially when my partner spent most of his time on his mobile selling stuff on ebay..

An excuse to talk one on one to some attractive sister that it normally would be difficult to..

Other than that I struggle...

I Received The Holy Spirit!

i want to share with you all a most wonderful experience i have just had.

i have been going to a christian church called the vineyard.

they have a live band and lots of singing goes on there.

Tried to fade away

i left my chauvanistic po elder husband 2 1/2 years ago (after 20 years of marriage - ten of those spent pioneering as a couple).

i took my two beautiful teenage daughters with me - he did not seem to care too much that we were gone.

his main concern was the humiliation and aggravation of having to step down as an elder.

sounds like they used ur letter as a confession effectivly. The delay probaly came from a hesistance or clarification from bethal. Mite been going on for a bit without u knwing. it is a kind thng leting ur ex knw. I know of many that cant remarry & its horrible. It is a shame they did nt contact u. I just wunder if it wud of helped? Maybe it wud of just caused u more upset going thru a Jc etc.

A fade as im learning involves lieing a lot. U have been honest and are now seem suffering.

I hope u and ur daughters are rebuilding a happier life. It pains me 2see ths again.

jehovahs witnesses are proud to point out that they are fulfilling the prophecy at matthew 24:14. jws are quick to point out that part of the purpose of the preaching work is so that jehovah can take note of how people respond to the witnessing, and thus can decide if they are worthy of survival or not.

last year, jws spent 1.4 billion hours in their preaching work.

so if we take: 6.6 billion people.

JWs insensitivity to human tragedies

insensitivity to tragedy, especially when it interferes with their plans, seems to be the norm among jws.. the story about the kansas city k.h.

suicide, and the concern local jws are showing, mainly toward the rebuilding of the hall, reminded me of something that happened in rome, italy at the 2000 international assembly at the olympic stadium.

i was there as a delegate.. on saturday morning, just before the start of the program, a 27 y.o.

Thats really sad:( ive heard of things like this a lot.

The worst is when JW's get giddy when some natural disaster happens.. there always like ... did you hear 500,000 died. Its all so exciting.. etc..

I wish i was lieing.. just stinks.

i'm still trying 2 figure out if this is a pro or anti jw forum but here goes..

i started studying jw 6 months ago & i do feel i'm growing.

i think at the rate things are going i'll b babtised in another 6 months.

To be honest, this site is neither pro or anti JW.

As most of the members are either JW's or ex-JW's.

Its a place where people can freely discuss information about Jehovah's Witnesses.

Sadly a freedom as a witness myself I do not have.
