in my congregation they lock the doors and the gate of the main
parking lot entry. The second entry (no gate) is blocked by a brother
sitting in his car during the meeting. The two attendance rotate during
the meeting one inside the other outside. I told the COBE that it is too
dangerous (being inner city) to have one brother in the parking lot
during mid week meetings (we had a lot of car vandalism over the last
few years) he said we need to trust in Jehovah. So I asked to be removed
from the attendance list, he said ok.Since I'm no longer attendant, I
have no knowledge of any incident since then because we never reported
to the congregation to keep the friends aware of whats going on.

Facial Hair
by new boy insince i have been out for seventeen years what is the currant society policy concerning beards and mustaches.. in the sixties and seventies facial hair was forbidden at bethel if you white.
if you were black you could have mustache but no beards.
so obviously you could not be elder or pioneer if you had a beard.. any updates?

The latest information that I remember is from the Sept 2016 Study article "Does your Style of Dress Glorify God?"
17 What about the propriety of brothers wearing a beard? The Mosaic Law required men to wear a beard. However, Christians are not under the Mosaic Law, nor are they obliged to observe it. (Lev. 19:27; 21:5; Gal. 3:24, 25) In some cultures, a neatly trimmed beard may be acceptable and respectable, and it may not detract at all from the Kingdom message. In fact, some appointed brothers have beards. Even so, some brothers might decide not to wear a beard. (1 Cor. 8:9, 13; 10:32) In other cultures or localities, beards are not the custom and are not considered acceptable for Christian ministers. In fact, having one may hinder a brother from bringing glory to God by his dress and grooming and his being irreprehensible.—Rom. 15:1-3; 1 Tim. 3:2, 7.

What is the current pulse in the organization with the reductions?
by SouthCentral ini have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.
it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.
congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

Lets see what results come from the Congregation "reshuffling" - probably not much since heaven forbid not cooperating with "the chariot" will be making you out of harmony with Jehovah!

Was Jesus fully Human? How babies were made in those days.
by fulltimestudent ini feel confident that most visitors to this site, understand the essential conflict at the heart of christianity.
how could jesus be fully human and simultaneously be a divine being who descended (supposedly, some thing jesus specifically claimed to be) from heaven.. as jws we may have solved this tricky point by saying that yahweh transferred the life of jesus into mary's womb, and so jesus was born fully human.. but if we remove the blindfold of faith, we immediately 'see' the problem.
in our contemporary view of the reproductive process, we can be certain that there is a female 'egg,' that is fertilised by male sperm.

My surface investigation tells me that this is a teaching NOT originated with Watchtower.
You be surprise that a handful of Watchtower doctrine background origins are from the Catholic Church dating back to the middle-ages.

Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?
by My Name is of No Consequence infrom what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.
obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.
can anyone confirm this?.

From listening into the KH Meeting tie-in today:
The 7-hills congregation is to merge in with Brookside, Ridge, Brecksville. Brecksville to relocate to W130th KH (two congs go there now). 7-Hills hall to be up for sale.
Think they are calling it "Restructuring Utilization Plan"

Today's Text - Justifying The Increase Of Annointed Ones!
by Divergent inthursday, august 31. jehovah knows those who belong to him.—2 tim.
2:19.. in recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of those partaking at the memorial of christ’s death.
that trend contrasts with the decrease in the number of partakers that we saw for many decades.

It just dawned on me to ask- where the apostles with Jesus the night of the Passover/New covenant even baptized? I recall the disciples baptizing others but nothing is written that they themselves got baptized. I always assumed that they were baptized by John the baptist. Can anyone shed light on the subject? Thanks

I don't think JW's realize that Jehovah used pagans to carry out his will. Babylonians, Assyrians, Medes-Persians! -

for the sake of not meaning to be a little more accurate - at this years District Convention - WTBS got rid of the term "fruits". 7 years ago was the "new light".
Its now fruitage - the greek word was studied a little more. The list of qualities are the "fruitage" of the spirit, all the things thats produced by holy spirit makes it - its fruitage and not its fruits. Sorry just thought I would throw this in.
