I've been following the conversation. From what I gather, people are afraid that her personal views on abortion will affect policy, laws and or court rulings. All I'm saying is regardless of where she stands on the issue, there really is nothing she can do about it. There is great system of checks and balances that prevents that from happening. As far as I'm concerned, it's a non-issue in this election cycle.

"Life Begins at Rape"- Palin Policy
by SixofNine ini suppose that when most of us who are fortunate not to have been the victim of sexual assault hear the word "rape kit", we tend to think of it specifically in terms of forensic analysis and examination--dna collection, trauma, that whole sort of thing.
but rape kits also contain...emergency contraception.. .

Ok, I'm gonna first put myself out there and give my personal views on abortion. I believe abortions are fine until the point the fetus is viable with-out extraordinary measures. I lean social liberal but strong fiscal conservative. Almost to the point of being libertarian. That being said, I still believe this whole issue is a smoke screen and a smear campaign. Reason being she can hate abortions and support constitutional amendments all she wants! There is nothing she can do about it! That is for a couple reasons, the President nor the vp can write laws, that is up to the Congress, and laws regarding abortion won't even hit the floor. They will die in committees. The Supreme Court will never hear Roe v. Wade again. They will not even consider reversing it, this is on both sides, even Scalia as said it is a sound ruling. Even it does somehow someway gets reversed, abortions will still be legal. It would go back to being an individual state issue, not Federal.

Billions of Dollars pumped in overnight? Where is it coming from?
by restrangled inwhat i gathered was the fed's release banks from having to hold on to the current minimum cash requirements, which allows them to loan out more cash reserves.. from: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20218020/.
one of the broadest tools the fed can apply to the supply of money in the system is raising or lowering the amount of reserves that banks are required to hold in their accounts.
raising reserves means banks have to hold onto more money, which tends to tighten credit.

Gold is the way to go right now, very safe investment. My question is, where does it end? Now we have Ford ans GM asking for loans because everyone else has one! Where does it end? I believe the Government should step back and let the free market operate the way it should. Risky or weak business will fold and fade away leaving strong ones behind.

"Palin "does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test," Comella said. "Gov. Palin's position could not be more clear. To suggest otherwise is a deliberate misrepresentation of her commitment to supporting victims and bringing violent criminals to justice.""
Oh wait! Only liberals or the "unfortunate" get the benefit of the doubt. My bad, I forgot.

"Obama doesn't have to send a team, that huge popularity that Palin enjoyed as Governor, isn't so huge.
You need to read the article sited in the thread "There's No Arguing with Conservatives"."
If he doesn't have to, why did he?? And the rape kits, let's use a little common sense. Don't you think that if there was anything to the story it would get a whole lot more traction in the press? The only ones that believe it are the tin foil hat wearing cool aid drinkers that take the Huffington post as gospel.

Sorry, It's late! And you saying Russert threw me, it was with George Stephanopoulos. And I saw it live on TV...I missed the meeting that morning! And delusions? It rolled of the tongue a little to easy. Looked like he got a little rattled, and that was during a softball interview! I guess someone blocked his teleprompter!

I never felt like I deserved it. We were taught that we are tools being used for gods purpose. That being said I often thought, we're expendable, just being used. Or was that just apostate thinking?!?!?!?
