sooner7nc thanks for that Winston Churchill quote. Some people may have read that and thought it was Islamic Extremist that said that if you hadn't put the name at the end.
And on that link you provided to the guardian.co.uk shows even how bad the Brits soldiers where treating some of the Iraqi's.
Check out this quote..And then someone tell me we are saving them from terrorist:
A central issue of the inquiry is why five "conditioning techniques" – hooding prisoners, putting them in stress positions, depriving them of sleep, depriving them of food and water, and playing white noise – were used on Iraqi detainees. The techniques, inflicted on IRA suspects, were banned in 1972 by the then prime minister, Edward Heath.
Ya this sure sounds a lot like when the European nations went to the arab world and tried to convert them to Christianity with the Crusades. I can see a lot of parallels. Lot of blood spilled back then in the name of trying to help them. Same shit just a different century under a different pretense this time.
This little speech that Bruce Springsteen gave in 1985 right before he performed the song WAR sums it up.
As I watch this video I can't help but think how his words were true back then and even more so now.
