In today's world you have to realize that the key phrases and terminology that get most peoples attention are related to the terms prejudice and discrimination. This ties in easily with what the disfellowship policy enforces because it discriminates against any family/friends that have a differing opinion or belief.
So you need something that would convey to others the severe harm that results from this horrific practice.
When I looked at synonyms for prejudice a word that stood out to me was detriment.
Imagine a phrase such as detrimental expulsion/exclusion
Instead of the easier public word "disfellowship" that makes it seem like it's just not fellowshipping with someone who no longer wants to be part of an organization. That doesn't show the public the harm that is associated with the practice.

OPINIONS PLEASE: I propose a new strategy against the Watchtower policy of DISFELLOWSHIP
by Terry ini need your opinion and a discussion...tell me what you think, both pros and cons...the governments of norway and russia have both targeted watchtower's severely inhumane policy of disfellowship separating and isolating members by ostracizing them and labeling them as 'mentally diseased", etc.
dis fellowship.is a mushy concept unfamiliar to non-jw's.that word doesn't convey brutal, cold, and uncaring shunning and the impact on vulnerable persons cut off from family and friends.i propose swapping the phrase "religious apartheid" for the term "disfellowship" because it is significantly more impactful, familiar, and gut-wrenching.jw's teach practice and promote discrimination, opprobrium, and animus in punishing by isolation those who disagree with their doctrines.
moreover - it is a de facto death sentence both spiritually and (according to the expectation of armageddon) literally as well.

Sunday January 15 is my 76th birthday. I answer some of your questions.
by Terry inhappy birthday 2 me!!.
sunday is my 76th birthday and i know that you want to know how it "feels" to have outlived my usefulness, to have lost my natural beauty (being reduced to wrinkles and flab), and constantly walking into a room not knowing why i'm there.
you also are curious as to how i can continue to find a reason to live since none of my kids think my opinions have any possible value, most of my facebooks friends i wouldn't recognize if i tripped over them on my way into starbucks, and my monthly expenditure on bird treats exceeds u.s. spending on the military.

Check out this quote from CPR. I will post the link at bottom so you can see the quote in article. The damage control is in full swing for the local hall and the Org. When I read this it made me sick to my stomach how they worded it when they don't give a rat's A$$ about families that have been traumatized by their disfellowshipping policy.
In a statement, the Sherrelwood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses said it was "shocked and deeply saddened by the unprovoked attack and loss of life" at their hall, adding they are cooperating with authorities investigating the shooting. "Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those who have been traumatized by the heinous actions that took the life of an innocent victim and threatened the lives of many others."
Here is the link to article that above quote is taken from.

The "WE'RE ALL IMPERFECT" Theory.
by pistolpete ina recurring theme in this loyd deal is the we're all imperfect-----------excuse!.
the "we're all imperfect" phrase, is an over used watchtower membership cliche, embedded in the minds of jws and anyone that leaves.
in the real world, there is no such thing as "we are all imperfect".
-

I always felt like the we're all imperfect "excuse" had a lot in common with the "let he without sin cast the first stone" concept. Just a way to get others to back off of a very probable and/or legit accusation.

Sad to hear this.
You will be missed Minimus.
When I think of him it brings to mind the saying,
"I'd rather have questions I can't answer than answers I'm not allowed to question."

Have you been vaccinated? Have you had any side effects?
by LoveUniHateExams inhi all.. i'm 42 years old.
i have had two jabs of the oxford-astrazeneca vaccine.. after my first jab i experienced flu-like symptoms - shivering, wanted to lie down in a dark room, etc.. i experienced no side effects after my second shot.. how about you?.
how many jabs have you had?.

I haven't had any vaccine in over 40 years and not going to take this one.
I eat healthy, exercise, meditate get appropriate rest so my immune system can be kept up to optimum efficiency.
Take garlic religiously as well as organic Oil of Oregano (fights all kinds of microbes of many types in body)
Every other day I take my two shots of whiskey (the only type shots I trust) for their medicinal value.
Remember how in every Cowboy movie if anyone got cut or shot they would pour whiskey on it to sterilize the wound.
They weren't joking alcohol that strong can kill basically anything. Just don't overdo it or too much can kill you. It's about the moderation. You want just enough to pickle or kill the bad bugs and yet not harm your organs or impair mental faculties. If you get drunk you've missed the point entirely.
My wife and i haven't had any immunizations/vaccines in over 40+ years and feel great. We don't even know what it's like to have a doctor, hospital or prescription drug bill because we haven't had to use any other than my gall bladder surgery.
We have a son that is now over 30 years of age and he has never had a single vaccine or immunization shot and besides not having to ever go to the doctor he hasn't ever had even a toothache. When I say never a doctor i mean it because he was born at a Mid-wife's house and as he got older I had to sign a waiver to release the local school district of any responsibility if he got sick because of him not being vaccinated. Guess what? He never missed a single day of school due to any illness/sickness.
After a few years of public school, he home-schooled so it was never an issue about whether he was vaccinated or not.
I've had people try and scare us saying things like ,well you've been lucky so far but one day your luck will run out. I just tell them if that's the case one day all of our luck will run out both the vaccinated as well as unvaccinated and we will die from something. But I refuse to live my life in fear.
Also if anyone ask me if they should get vaccinated my response is always the same. Do the research
Not just with this vaccine but all of them and then decide what risks are more acceptable to you. The risk associated with taking the vaccine or the risk of not taking.
Anyhow whatever you decide, Good health to you.
